I have a weird thing about Lady Gaga, I've loved every song she's made that I've heard, but if a new one comes out i'm afraid of listening to it incase its crap and it puts me off her songs, but then i always end up hearing it later on and get very pleasantly surprised, it happened with Telephone, Alejandro and Bad Romance.
I've been living under a rock for the last couple of months, and for the last 2 weeks i heard the song "Born this Way" on the radio and loved it, but had no idea who sang it until i looked at this thread. Totally not surprised that it's gaga, she really is amazing.
So i wont listen to this song... yet.

I'm the exact opposite of you with regards to the two singles, though I don't hate Judas. Born This Way is a lot better, in my opinion, but this song is still great. Unlike BTW, however, which people loved on the first listen, I think Judas is one one that will take a couple of listens to grow on people - myself included.

The problem I had with BTW was the production. It's not as polished as Judas in my opinion. That and the melody was exactly the same as a lot of songs. Judas is loaded with hooks so it'll most likely be stuck in people's heads.
Anyways, a friend pointed this out to me regarding the leak:
Gaga sings "Even after 3 times he betrays me", 3 snippets of her song leaked.
Judas betrayed Jesus 4 days before Easter, Gaga decides to release Judas 4 days before the original date.
The leak was probably intentional then. Very clever Gaga, very clever.

Since it "leaked" on GagaDaily, I really wouldn't be surprised if it was intentional.

JUDADADADA is annoying and it sounds like a child's song sometimes (the verse that ends with "I'm still in love with Judas baby").
Meh, the club remixes might be a lot better.

An MTV article described that melodic section of the chorus well by calling it "throwback to 80s pop." With that in mind I felt a little better about it, but I agree; the chorus is my least-favorite part, but whatever. 18 more tracks on the album, one of which I cannot WAIT to hear and have a feeling will be a massive hit (Edge of Glory, as it's been described as having sledgehammering beats, and features Clarence Clemmons of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band on sax at one point).
