So, what's next for Pokemon. R/S remakes? So, what's next for Pokemon. R/S remakes? Head straight for 6th Gen? - Berzerk - 2011-03-27 I don't see why the just put all the regions (besides black and white) into one game with a new original storyline. So, what's next for Pokemon. I think it's because they have to recalculate which levels are the best for each of the 32 gym leaders, the 3 elite fours, Red, etc and well as the EXP formula. So, what's next for Pokemon. Or, you start over with a starter from the next region, go through the game, restart like that again at the next region, and at the end, pick which pokemon you'll use for the elite four/champions. Kinda like what ash does in the shows. It would be cool, but I always like battling at high levels, like b/w. I guess it wouldn't really matter though.

Better yet, make it some sort of sequel of the B/W story. I never understood the appeal behind direct remakes with nothing but better graphics and a few extra stuff post-E4. That would be hard since the events of R/S/E took place 3 years before the events of HG/SS/D/P/P and Black and White takes place sometime after that, adding N to the R/S/E storyline wouldn't be very easy without ruining the past canon and with FR/LG and HG/SS they have done a good job of keeping the past canon intact while adding new things.
