The reason they are doing this is more for events and quests that reset at midnight than for a stupid clock near the boats...

And why not? Is there some kind of unwritten rule or something that says I'm not suppose to?
If I where to think logically, the possibility of the SC ending early alone justifies taking a look (and yes they have happened).
