LHC Dream party? - Takebacker - 2011-03-01 IllegallySane Wrote:I originally didn't include the Bucc to be honest because I'm aware how bad their single target is (in b4 Takebacker disputes); there's a reason I mentioned the Bucc HAD to be godly for the ideal party (yes Buccs need to pay more in order to be viable). Then I thought "wouldn't Dual Blades/Corsairs/Marksman benefit from SI"? Otherwise, the default setup would be 1 Bishop, 1 BM/MM/WH, and slapping together any of the DPS classes that I listed. I don't really need to dispute it because using demo is an extremely rare case in itself. The ability to hit every single monster in the stone golem map (3), assuming a well organized party that is aware of the strategy involved, already bumps up my damage class to well above what it is normally. LHC Dream party? - Cheesecake - 2011-03-01 How helpful are f/p mages in LHC? With all of our mobbing attacks and decent DoT, are we close to being as competitive as other classes? LHC Dream party? - Punch - 2011-03-01 Bishop for HS. Bowmaster for SE. Buccaneer could help with SI. Paladin is good for Combat Orders. Those would be needed.. Bishop/Archer being the most needed, helpful.. Yes, SE sucks. But it helps EVERYONE. So it's wanted.. still thank god -.- or i'd never train again.. LHC Dream party? - Kaasoljoyyx - 2011-03-01 Honestly, i dont' think it's going to matter that much. How often are you going to find "the perfect party" to train with if they're randoms. It would be better to just get a group of 6 and go, as long as you do damage, you'll be fine. Even with those buffs, it probably won't make much of a difference exp wise (relatively). LHC Dream party? - Raph589 - 2011-03-01 There should be at least 1 rusher per party. Bishop with hs, archer with SE, Shad with taunt and maybe mech and paladin (the rusher) for dps? To you and a few other people who mentioned this.. The only Bowmasters VS. LHC videos I've seen, Hurricane was knocking back golems with each Arrow, literally sliding them across the floor and pinning them to the wall. Could be due to great damage, but hopefully I can do this as welll.. looks funny and helpful ^^ LHC Dream party? - WillDaSnail - 2011-03-02 DustBunny Wrote:Drk should be in there. Sorry Dustin, but ITT: Discussing the best DPS output for a LHC party. :\ LHC Dream party? - McAwesomesauce - 2011-03-02 People keep suggesting things like the perfect boss run or the perfect LKC or CWK groups or whatever when everyone knows damn well that you'll be going in there with your guild/buddy list either fucking way. I agree with both of these. A "perfect party" is purely theoretical and it probably won't ever happen. Me and 4 friends are raising a monster party starting after LHC. We're trying to get the "ultimate party" consisting of: Bucc, UA sair, paladin, bowmaster, shadower/mystery class, and an HS mule we can hopefully tele into LHC. We would have to stick to those alligators for a while but we'll move up to stone golems eventually. I think coming up with an ideal strategy for party combinations for a map is really important for fast exp gain and i've done that for my parties, though the whole thing is entirely theoretical obviously. LHC Dream party? - Trust - 2011-03-02 The introduction of Lion Heart Castle to gms is bringing back one of the perks of old school maple, party training (remember goby/dual pirate/viking parties). Any party would be fine i assume, just the more the merrier, while in fact a "dream party" would be nice, hopefully the want for a "dream party" doesn't shun away other high levelers that don't heavily equip themselves from being partied >.<. I don't see the point. Making an optimal party for defeating some boss or pq (VPQ, DRPQ) makes sense. The profits can be used on/for your main. But for training? The "profit" is exp, and that can't be transferred. I want to level my Hero, so I'm going to LHC on Hero, even if everyone would prefer a Mech in their party. And my friend wants to level her I/L AM, so... Making a whole party of alts who'll level really fast but do absolutely nothing for your mains, makes no sense to me. LHC Dream party? - Xephia - 2011-03-02 There really is no dream party for LHC, just a number of convenient parties. As most users said in a joking manner, all you need is HS. The rest is up to % stats if you're going for power. Even then, based on the solo vids I've seen of kMS LHC users, using a full party of ultimate DPS attackers would be overkill for the map. The monsters would die too quickly and you'd need to wait for the monsters to respawn. LHC Dream party? - Takebacker - 2011-03-02 SaptaZapta Wrote:I don't see the point. I am in no way suggesting an optimal party be stuck to for training. Merely that the concept of a dream party should be taken more as a strategy that fleshes out the advantages of each class, rather than assembling classes to achieve dream DPS for the sake of optimal exp. Making a class shouldn't be based on ideal parties or how to be part of them. Making a class because you want to and forming strategies for it is how it should be. Forming strategies for training in a map, let alone LHC... the closest thing to strategies I've seen in MS involves boss runs and party quests. Low damaging huge HP chunks of EXP that we call LHC mobs doesn't seem to require much strategy, even the maps are flat for the most part. LHC maps has to be just about one of the most class-neutral areas out there. I think LHC has more strategy involved maps than you think it does. You would get a party and just say "f'uck it go wherever the hell you want"? Give the most funded guy the top platform instead of the more mobby bottom? Throw your entire DPS around and "everyone act as one" and end up slower because of time wasted getting to the next mob? Mystery class. Sounds pretty accurate actually. You never know what I will be playing each day. Well I know right now so I need a few days to make it happen, but it will happen. Don't you worry. |
