Training post-BB more difficult? - Draego - 2011-02-27 Well, I've got mixed opinions regarding this actually. Pre-bb due to the variety of monster exp's present, you literally had to fight for the good spot (still do in some cases) which made training more difficult but that fight made you come back for more but Post-bb due to equilibrium of Exp as of monsters in the same level makes training in post bb more efficient and fun if you've got buddies to talk to or party up and train else its boring as heck. So yea,i like a little bit of both. Also,Levelling curve is much smoother now. eg - i got playing 2hrs a day pre-b to 70 all on 1x in 3months. post-bb to 70 in 7 day on 1x
Training post-BB more difficult? - IllegallySane - 2011-02-27 Who in their right mind wants to pay more per month than a WoW subscription, and sit on their bum for a longer period of time in order to achieve the same amount of work pre-BB as we do now? I'm loving the new BB EXP system because who really wants to pay a month fee of $20 a month just so you can level better? The new system for me at the moment makes it feel like it's an automatic 2x-5x card up all the time without the $20 a month, and I'd like my monthly monetary contribution to Maple to only come from pet, pet equips, one safety charm, one wheel, and a regular store permit (for a grand total of ~$5 a month compared to ~$25 a month), thank you very much. Training post-BB more difficult? - Daimean - 2011-02-28 I kinda miss post big bang training lately =x The new exp curve was great when I was lvling new characters to 3rd job until I noticed my DB was lvling a lot slower....(then again I'm use to training on 4x+) Training post-BB more difficult? - Potora - 2011-02-28 My overall favorite thing about Post-BB is that I don't feel the need to buy 2x Exp Cards and sit at my laptop for 4hrs straight. :| I can grind for 30 minutes and then go take a break if I wish. Also, leveling up on bosses is so much better. Soloing Zakum in 10-20 minutes. Pap in 1 minute. Hellurrrr! Training post-BB more difficult? - Katforks - 2011-02-28 I've never been good at going with the grind - it took me way too long to get to 70 and then 120 pre-BB, and post-BB I got an unfunded character to 70 in two weeks. [Granted there was heavy jester abuse but it's zenith who gives a pomegranate] That said I find it's a hell of a lot faster to do the run 1-95ish class dependant than previous, but I'm finding 100+ to be sucking pomegranate. Some of the classes I play have survivability issues - being 2hko'd in the maps i'm supposed to be in unless I wear HP gear, anything that isn't a mage killing my wallet [lolMPE], and good lord can I have a holy weak mob between 130 and 160 please? ;3; Though most of that is trivial bs whining on my part. This is a fuckton faster than what it used to be, even without 2x [although 2x on saturday was like WHOAMG SEXEXP]. The only ones I see complaining about it in game anymore are the 165+ people, which is sorta understandable since you're real limited on what you can do - people were trying to buy Bodyguard maps in Bera on saturday, was pretty damn silly. Training post-BB more difficult? - SwordStaker - 2011-02-28 I love it. Even at 144 I can just leisurly sit there, even go train with my lvl 7x guildies, 1xx etc and STILL get decent exp. I was with my priest guildy at captains and leveled from 70% in about eh, hour and a half. Love it Training post-BB more difficult? - Takebacker - 2011-02-28 Training sucks, bossing is amazing. Far prefer it this way. Training post-BB more difficult? - Birdie - 2011-02-28 post bb ive done 1-50(wh), 50-111(bandit) and 50-105(dw). All three have been very enjoyable and would have never happened pre bb. My hero(147) however has leveled once i think post bb. Part of it is lack of effort on my part in trying to find the best training spot and some of it is just disappointment that leveling on him isnt any better. Again maybe its just cause i havent found the right place yet but who knows. Training post-BB more difficult? - CarrionCrow - 2011-02-28 Takebacker Wrote:Training sucks, bossing is amazing. L>Neo Tokyo, Real Ravana, and a buncha exclusive bosses>.> Training post-BB more difficult? - dpeterlin - 2011-02-28 Only a month or two before bb I did 1-140 on a bucc in a month with 2x and a lot of 4x in the higher levels. In the past 3 weeks I've taken a pally from 1-132 without using either obviously. Probably gonna hit 140 in right about the same month timeframe. So from the lower level standpoint things have definitely changed a lot for the better. Like someone else mentioned I no longer feel confined to the game once I do purchase a 2x card, I'm free to come and go as I please which has been a nice change. The big change was how I feel like I no longer have any options on my 188 drk. There are no real training places. Bossing is limited due to the ht glitch and zak being packed constantly, gramps run for 3% a day is less than ideal. There's just no real good content. LHC will offer a change and part of me is looking forward to that, part of me just doesn't care anymore. Training more opens up zero doors as far as stuff to do, the bit of ap I get is negligible, the sp is useless at this stage. So, eh, some good some bad. Definitely a good change for the general populace. Not enough tbh... unless people stop zaking much after we get LHC. Oh and we get Van Leon, all chs once a day, I believe. I hope they add more than 2 channels for zak. Future Tokyo was nerfed to the point where fighting the bosses is completely useless unless you're curious and want to see the entire area. In which case, I'd just suggest watching videos. In which case, I'd just suggest watching videos.Naw not about whats good and whats not good. MY guild fights Dragonoir and Krexel just for the hell of it. It would be nice just to have more bosses to fight, doesn't matter really if their"good" or not. Other people can stick to their fighting over anego and etc, I'll just find other bosses to fight. Doesn't matter really if the bosses give bad rewards or anything, more bosses is more bosses(if that makes sense) and more areas are more areas.(If that also makes sense) Training post-BB more difficult? - Takebacker - 2011-02-28 Unless future tokyo bosses now give 1m exp maximum, i would still solo kill them daily. Training post-BB more difficult? - Link - 2011-02-28 Takebacker Wrote:Unless future tokyo bosses now give 1m exp maximum, i would still solo kill them daily. Core Blaze, the most accessible boss in Future Tokyo, only gives 2.1m EXP and you can't fight it until level 170+. The best one is Aufheben, which has ridiculous entry requirements, and that gives 10m EXP only at level 180+ and as far as I'm aware, it's still hard as hell to beat it. We need more Papulatus-type bosses. Training post-BB more difficult? - Stereo - 2011-02-28 Speaking of Papulatus... it's become insanely crowded recently. On Saturday's 2x, I waited 90 minutes to get in and I still got my run crashed by some Bowmaster who wanted a little exp without wasting his crack. All the main boss chambers (Pap, Zak, HT, Grandpa) should be instanced like minidungeons. It would make the game so much less frustrating. Training post-BB more difficult? - spencer7x7 - 2011-02-28 Considering that, in a month I reach Lv50 on a character regularly before BB, and now I can reach Lv100 in that same time window. Yes, I prefer Big Bang. Training post-BB more difficult? - ghostofhalo - 2011-02-28 I've leveled a Night Walker from 60 to 109 in just a matter of days. It's really slowed down after 100, but it's still very good. The same goes for my Dawn Warrior (64 - 103) with a high amount of EXP/hour at Gobies still (roughly 150% an hour). And hell, when Mechanic released, I hit level 60 in the first day, 70 by the next... haven't touched it since. Why all the Cygnus? I don't have too much free time, so I play the "casual" classes. Not to mention the UA patch is just around the corner. My 15X Hero... has no difference. One thing I noticed is that potential gear is required to get better EXP/hour after Big Bang. At Skeles prior to BB, I gained about 7-8%/hour. Post BB, I gain roughly the same amount. I use to 2-hit kill Skeles, and now it's around 3 to 4 hits, same equipment. I'm mostly in a rut because I can't train effectively to get money for potential, and I have nowhere near the amount of free time as I use to required to merch or farm badges due to college. Until I see Rush draining MP/sec for full mobility or something to move my slow ass around (charging) to make up for the lack of STR% gear, I'll be elsewhere. So, I guess it's easier prior to level 140 or so, but it starts requiring potential after that (due to my experience). I would like to see another rebalance that brings adventurers up to par with the Legends/Resistance/DBs in the earlier levels. You can't tell me Triple Blow isn't overpowered compared to Slash Blast or Somersault Kick. |
