These aren't hotels though, they're a network of resorts.

Heh, yeah on the first sales attempt when the tour guide / sales person realized I wasn't buying she didn't even bother continuing the sales pitch we just spent the 90 minutes goofing off around the resort.

So what is this? A timeshare? And do you get a kickback only if people go or only if people go and buy?

Yes, and I get the kickback just for people showing up to the tour.

What's the normal price range for these seminars?

I have no idea what you just tried to ask.

I think she's asking for the actual value of the package (I believe she thinks you have to attend the seminar even if you're a paying customer (which you don't, if that is what you're asking, Jamie))

No idea really, depends on going rates, but it's generally a 2 bedroom suite for 2 or 3 nights so depending on locale and seasonality that'd be 100 to 200 a night for the stay, plus whatever the gift package's worth is.

Ah.

Vacation Giveaways - Satellite - 2011-02-04

I would have said "DEAL", if they would pay for the flight to states too =(

Vacation Giveaways - Eos - 2011-02-04

That's a bit too good to be true.
If they were willing to do that I'd be highly suspicious.

Are you able to bring a guest or is it you by yourself? Might do this over the summer for my gf and myself.

Vacation Giveaways - Eos - 2011-02-05

You're able to bring guests. Generally they'll do up to two couples, plus kids. The suites are generally 2 bedrooms with a pull out couch and the 2nd bedroom can be converted into it's own separate suite by locking the adjoining door. Generally has it's own entrance, bathroom and kitchenette.
