My friend that I work with occassionally asks me if I want to buy any, $10 for regular stuff and $15 for the better stuff, but like cigarettes or anything else, it adds up and how am I supposed to get a turbo with silly things like marijuana ADDING UP Well, lol, it's just a choice. MAKES SENSE YOU WANT TO GET A TURBO FOR THAT SWEET RX8 YOU GOT THERE Cyadd Wrote:I wonder sometimes why people take the drugs in the first place. Besides peer pressure, etc. why do them? I myself have never done any at all. Though, if I would, I would go for LSD. Prejudice. It's like asking why people smoke tobacco or drink alcohol. Just a choice. Trying different states that the human body can reach, etc etc. Peer pressure, escaping and a whole plethora of excuses are mainly the reasons people that already have problems pick something to alleviate them. Nah but on a more serious tone, I originally smoked weed just to know what it was like, curiosity, I kept smoking cause I kept wanting to try different things while high, and when I found out most of the boring things I do in life become amazing when high, I kind of just kept going with it. I'm not sure whether or not you are downplaying my choice not to do, so until you response, I'll keep another response tucked away. Now, were those things boring before the weed or after the weed? Drugs - Rob - 2011-01-26 By the way, relevant: Rob Wrote:I actually took the time to translate this from a blog in spanish, and I think it's the pure truth behind what do you feel like when you're high. Drugs - Rob - 2011-01-26 Doubleposting because the previous post has nothing to do with this. Cyadd Wrote:I'm not sure whether or not you are downplaying my choice not to do, so until you response, I'll keep another response tucked away. No, I'm not downplaying your choice not to. I respect it a lot. I just say that arguing people just take drugs because they want to escape from reality, they suffer from peer pressure and all those excuses we've all heard from newspapers, TV and other sources; are just prejudices. I ''COULD'' grant some of that if we're just talking about hard drugs (cocaine and above). Drugs - chrome - 2011-01-26 I'll be perfectly honest when I say weed is overrated. At least for me. Smoked a glass on glass, I was giggly for an hour or two, then it stopped. It wasn't anything special; I'd probably rank it among one of the things I'd do when there's nothing else to do. Drugs - Homerowed - 2011-01-26 Cyadd Wrote: Boring before I smoke weed, they have been constants of boredom in my life, whenever I smoke weed they are no longer boring, its hard to be high and bored. I mean you could literally watch infomercials for like 3 hours while baked, and you'd have fun. As soon as the high is over, they go back to being boring. Drugs - Beg - 2011-01-26 Have yet to observe/meet a regular drug (by drug i mean other than the legal stuff) user IRL that wasn't an over-impulsive jerkwad that didn't hesitate to tell me how stupid I am for choosing not to get high with them and how I've been brainwashed by whatever authority to think they are bad and how I don't know REAL FUN until you've gotten high. People online say that there are nice drug users out there IRL who don't push it in your face constantly, but I have yet to observe/meet one so far. Where are you hiding? ![]() As for alcohol, people here can't seem to understand that I don't want to chuck that crap down my throat just for what is apparently the universal definition of "fun" aka being loud and annoying with some other intoxicated people, doing tons of stupid stuff you'll regret later (or won't even remember, "But if you don't remember it it means you had a REAL GOOD TIME"...No, the Hangover was a terrible movie.) and feeling horrendous the day after. FUNNY S'HIT RITE I'd feel weak as hell if I had been reduced to taking whatever crutch narcotic just to remain stable and content, as if I couldn't deal with my problems without it. I hate feeling weak. Delicae Wrote:I don't like not being in control. I start to panic. Also this. tl;dr narcotics are a waste of time as far as i'm concerned, no i'm not trying to tell anyone it's wrong even though in my opinion there are better ways to waste your time/money. Drugs - Moonlapse - 2011-01-26 Edit: Ignore this post. Drugs - PlayForBlood - 2011-01-26 Sorry for the late answer, but I think weed releaves pain on crohn's disease patients because it is an inflammatory disease and weed is anti imflamatory. It also actually gives me appetite since mine is close to none. There's actually allot of research on it if you look it up(hence why I started using weed) and people are getting more and more often accepted to get medicinal marijuana to treat their crohn's disease. As for me I have to get it illegally because I'm still a minor and I'd need my parent's consent and that will never happen lol. P.S. I'm actually posting high right now on some really good stuff that I got from my neighbor. I actually tried just a little to test it and I got pretty baked considering I only took one medium hit.
Drugs - Slaking - 2011-01-26 I've got the same people in my area as Beg has. Though my friends respect my choise not to drink alcohol. Personally I'm not against drugs. Just as long as you don't smoke a cig near me (If that counts as drugs) I'm fine with it. The only type of drug I wanted to do at some point are magic mushrooms, though the duration made me reconcider it. Government also banned them in the meanwhile, so meh. The reason I don't do drugs is that I don't feel like it adds anything. Sure it can be fun, but I don't find the concequences worth it. Drugs - Katie - 2011-01-26 I've smoked weed, drank excessively, snorted coke, xanax and ritalin. I'm too old to be doing that crap anymore. I did smoke weed and drink EXCESSIVELY over the weekend for my birthday. Other than that, drugs don't do anything for me Drugs - Takebacker - 2011-01-26 Lol, you finally post threads after so long eh. I posted a thread like this a long time ago, but that's probably the only you're talking about. Cyadd Wrote:Now, were those things boring before the weed or after the weed? It's like i told a friend of ours (me and the TS) who doesn't smoke: Smoking weed (not the act but the sensation) is like experiencing everything you've done already for the first time again. It makes everything more fun. (except getting pulled over) It's not that the things you were doing before were boring, but they are pretty boring in comparison to doing it high though it depends entirely on what exactly you're talking about. Drugs - KhainiWest - 2011-01-26 I hate alcohol, it's a taste you have to acquire, beer specifically. I have a huge sweet tooth, although I know there alcoholic beverages for that, but people consider that gay so, whatev's. Smoking, although I accept it, not something I would do. Though with all the second hand smoke I inhale I may start. Weed, it's something I don't want I guess. I don't know, It's not like I'm afraid of it, or the consequences, it's just something I never took interest or curiosity into. Didn't really affect me as the stereotypical side effects present. Did get very hungry and hit up a All You Can Eat Buffet place but other than that, I don't care for it personally, but I don't see how it's as bad as people claim it is at times. Maybe it affects everyone differently like other drugs do. I do support it's usage for medical research and it's cousin Hemp for Industrial usage in bio/renewable-product production. Opiates - I did have a bout with opiate drugs like Vicodine. I will admit it's a good pain killer and it is very effective and works fast, and it did take a while to ween myself back off it to use normal Ibuprofen after some tooth extractions. Alcohol - I drink, lightly. I'm no guzzler. I do enjoy wines, some liquors, and the occasional beer like a Sam Adams. The rest... wouldn't touch em. Cigarette smoke stinks to Hell and back. Rest just seem way too dangerous and easy to misuse. Drugs - Homerowed - 2011-01-29 Interesting weekend so far, went to my friend's frat yesterday for a poker tournament while I was high. Got my ass kicked early (probably came in like 26th place out of 45 people), then went up stairs saw a few brothers playing pokemon stadium, and decided to show them how it's done. Turns out my team was really electric weak and a Zapdos plowed through my team. After that was said and done, I left the frat and went to my friends apartment. We had something like six people there, we smoked around two blunts and took some hits out of my friend's 2.5 foot bong, and then proceeded to destroy in Halo, and played some more poker. It was an interesting day, we almost smoked enough to make that night epic weed night part 2.5, but we voted that down. Drugs - Mike - 2011-01-29 I hit that caffeine frequently. Usually in the early mornings. What? Drugs - Rob - 2011-01-29 It's funny because we don't use bongs here. We just smoke joints. Last night was pretty awesome. Having sex while high is a pretty nice experience. |
