Assume that the dinosaurs were the first beings on this earth, and assume they died out with a mass extinction.
Now, humans pop up after this as take their charge of world.

Whose the say, after a doomsday event and everything is demolished and ruined, that new life could claim its supremacy?

It'll be the cockroaches. They survive everything. D:

The bird death in Sweden was because some guy drove over 40 jackdaws. Not 50, not 100. 40. They can't react as well in the cold as they're used to.

Missing sunspots is not unexpected, really. We have 400 years of data, and the sun is some billion years.

Your words are for naught, people don't believe it,t hey will live in their mystical fantasy of death.

TaliaNCo Wrote:2012 is indeed coming. People are so obsessive over this. According to the Mayans, 12-21-12 merely states, "THE END". That could mean so many different things. Though it will definitely be interesting to watch the world population prepare for the worst possible scenario.

Prepare for the worst possible scenario.

wut?

the worst possible scenario is the end of everything as we know it and preparing is by definition useless.

The world is chaos, it is human nature to try and find order in the chaos, this could be by means of religion, paved streets, medicine, grid like infrastructure ect ect. That same feeling is in animals too, a nice example are sheep tracks, why do sheep (and also humans) constantly take the same path from x to y. Even talking about this, it's impossible for me to speak objectively. Why do people not like parks that are too open (theres a good example of pilgrims not passing over the mountains because the land beyond was too open, chaos in their eyes, though i'm not american so you can correct me on that one) I'm left wondering why people get so surprised when chaos rears it's ugly head, when the possibility of an ordered organism consisting of thousands of organised cells could exist at all. Mass deaths happen very frequently, perhaps not frequently in reference to our lifespan but to the earths.

I'm sure i'm going to get butchered for speaking blasphemy against global warming, but this is another chaos, radical change in climate is normal, and in fact we are due for another ice age, some think it is global warming that is keeping it at bay. The only reason we really fear these things is because we choose to live structurally on present conditions and not organically. Perhaps that is the folly of man. We can't control anything, i think that is what everyone is afraid of, afraid of the unknown.
