The Big Bang ''Hot Time'' Event - Satellite - 2010-12-10
So they are trying to make a record in players online at the same time, but they schedule the event to be midnight for Europe and Israel and probably even worse for Aussies. Europe/Australia/Israel actually play a large part in population of gMS. It's always so ironic when they say they have 6million players in America, when 30-40% of those are not even americans.

you fail. of course they would prioritize the ones in america. its only logical for them to hold the event where MOST players can play. not for a measly 30% . everything nexon do is a fail for you guys anyway.

There is no way Nexon has 6 million people playing GMS. The real figure is closer to the 300k facebook "likes" on their homepage. Sure there might be 6 million characters that have been created but that does not equal the number of players. Nexon love to scam the media.

If you look at the bottom of the Nexon forums you will see:
"There are 9,237 guest(s) online. There are 358 of 408,472 member(s) online"
Look at the other forums, eg Mabinobi or Combat Arms, and you will see the same number, 408k.
So that would appear to be the number of accountsd that Nexon has.
Assuming that some of those 408K are playing other games and not MS, and that many MS players have multiple accounts, and many of those accounts would be abandoned, there might be only 100k or so actual MS players, maybe even less.

I really really hope they fix the exp of World Tour mobs during this maintenance now, unlikely as that is.
Truckers, Jesters, Vikerola, and Gallopera are already intolerable, on 1x.
I don't want to think what they'd be like on 2x, especially when it's the only form of 2x available. (i.e., people can't say, "Meh, I'll just buy a card and train some other time. I can't be bothered to compete with the masses").
For myself, I'll be as deep in ToT as I can complete the quests before the event, and I shouldn't have a problem getting a map. But thinking of the cries of my guildies "someone help me, I'm being ks'ed out of my map" makes me feel ill already.
As for Hot Time...
I'm in Kradia so I don't expect channel crashes and I'm satisfied with my SP builds anyway, but I feel sorry for those who *need* that extra SP reset scroll and live in populated servers. Outlook doesn't look good at all.

The only thing is that you have to make an account on the forums and link it to your actual account, so that's not an entirely accurate way of determining the real number of accounts.
