I'm disappointed in FP's DoT. - Hanabira.Kage - 2010-12-19 ScherzoDeLuce Wrote:erm, i found these vids, but it's from Chaos Patch. Looking good. NexonUS NEEDS to fix the DoT.
On a side note, any idea what the song in the first video is? Sounds like Kawada Mami...but do Koreans usually listen to Japanese songs? o.O I'm disappointed in FP's DoT. - Dusk - 2010-12-19 DeanNim Wrote:or, you could just spam an attacking skill and kill it within 2seconds. Well yeah, but that's because the monsters your level are so pitifully weak; that's not Mist's fault. Nahhh, the video (especially the first one) only looked pro because the FPs used DoT skills right before Pap slept. I wanna see DoT do a good job continuously on a boss like Zak bodies/HT/PB, where the only breaks are m.def ups. I'm disappointed in FP's DoT. - Baklava - 2010-12-19 Fire/Poison's DoT is greatly increased after the chaos patch so... I'm disappointed in FP's DoT. - Avoidant - 2010-12-19 Dusk Wrote:Mist does much more damage now. With decent equips, you only need 6~10 seconds for the poison to bring monsters to 1 hp. It's much better than it was before. And I disagree. The older mist allowed time for the mage to cycle the map, and it was reliable. One's equips did not matter with the old mist; it always poisoned for 40 seconds, at the same rate, and it always brought the monsters down to 1 HP. With the new mist, I've found that monsters with higher HP don't always end up with 1 HP when the ten seconds are up. And instead of zipping around the map in speed gear, I have to wear slower equips that raise my magic attack; otherwise the monsters won't get anywhere near the 1 HP mark. Since a lot of the endgame maps are enormous, this creates a problem for me. I could just be nitpicking. I probably am. Hell, we have teleport, so mobility is kind of a moot point. They just ruined a playing style that I enjoyed, and I needed to vent about it. I'm disappointed in FP's DoT. - Dusk - 2010-12-19 wtp...Mist is supposed to last 15 seconds. Why are our poison durations completely messed up? I never wore speed gear while misting and I honestly didn't see much of a difference whether you used it or not. All DoT skills are bugged having their lvl 1 durations instead of the max level's. O.o I'm disappointed in FP's DoT. - Avoidant - 2010-12-19 Dusk Wrote:wtp...Mist is supposed to last 15 seconds. Why are our poison durations completely messed up? While teleport does provide enough mobility for most mages, I've found that walking at a brisk pace and teleporting when needed provides much more control than just teleporting everywhere. There's more character control, and less teleporting into things. Plus, there are times when teleport literally won't work, like on a narrow ledge or something. In those instances, I've found that speed and jump are more important than the ability to teleport. In short, it just adds the possibility for even more mobility, and a hell of a lot more fun in my opinion. The game feels clunky to me now. Shidoshi Wrote:All DoT skills are bugged having their lvl 1 durations instead of the max level's. Oh, so that's a glitch? Maybe they'll fix it, then. Perhaps this is L/I exclusive, but ID's DOT works the full 15 seconds at my level 21. Are all F/P DOT skills bugged in the level 1 manner? It wont allow you to cycle maps anymore no. It is now designed to be incorporated with normal training, for added DPS. It could be a bad or a good change, depending on your preferences. I love it. I'm disappointed in FP's DoT. - IImaplers - 2010-12-20 If they don't fix this DoT glitch by today's patch, it just re-affirms the notion that Nexon AM doesn't give a rat's ass about F/Ps or maybe AMs in general. AMs are a bossing class now and deserve to be used for DPM at high level bosses. This is s'hit I'm disappointed in FP's DoT. - FrozNlite - 2010-12-21 Sooo has anyone bothered testing to see if DoTs are fixed yet? I'm disappointed in FP's DoT. - OB3LISK - 2010-12-21 It's not fixed. I'm disappointed in FP's DoT. - FrozNlite - 2010-12-21 I don't think the issue is just a glitch; it's a full-blown data error on Nexon's part. Sorry if I'm posting the obvious, but since I just got on and tested it this is what I found (to help clarify for others): Right now all DoT skill descriptions, at max level, show the correct amount of % damage dealt per second, yet the wrong DoT duration (people have said Lv. 3 or whatnot; it's somewhere around there). When I was at Chief Memory Guardians with Elemental Reset, my skills were doing just that: the correct % damage shown (which is, again, the correct amount that level of the skill should do), along with the wrong time duration (again what the skillbook shows). Ex. my laughable 9130 max buffed range was dishing exactly 14,608 damage per tick of Poison Mist, for exactly 10 seconds. Therefore, the issue isn't a glitch, but an error in Nexon's copypastaing from KMS. Or something. How they got the right % but the wrong times, if the data was truly copypasta'd, is absurdly strange, but that's what it is for now. Guess I'm not gonna spend a dime on NX until this is fixed. Thanks Nexon... I'm disappointed in FP's DoT. - FhUoCmKework - 2010-12-26 You can still cycle maps. I'm a level 138 f/p mage and I train at rextons. WIth one cycle of misting, I can cover the entire map while spamming a few paralyzes here and there. As a result, I can train much faster than just spamming rextons ( 2-3 hit on normal circumstances). The mist damage brings them within 1 hitting range of a single paralyze.
