Big Bang Level EXP Curve - Kunagisa - 2010-12-02

Well, this sure is a very informative graph with correctly labeled axes that properly relay data in a logical and organized manner. Thanks, Nexon.

It might as well be the one they used last time they reduced exp, lmao.

OH LOOK WE LOWERED THE EXP TABLE.

A few of us think it is the same graph.

Big Bang Level EXP Curve - SethElite - 2010-12-02

Well, it's actually not the same graph.

That had two graphs. At least they gave a % back then. Lmao.

Big Bang Level EXP Curve - Chameleonic - 2010-12-02

Yeah I saw that. I'm sure I saw that other graph used somewhere though. Anyway, be interesting to see what they come up with when they put up the new graph.

Big Bang Level EXP Curve - Plasmablaster - 2010-12-02

Maybe they went to repost the whole graph leading all the way to 200, but by the looks of that, all the way up to 200 should be a joke.

Big Bang Level EXP Curve - Berzerk - 2010-12-02

So help me god if we don't get the same exp table as kms I shall rage. >:[

Surprise! Due to a recent poll, there will be no Exp reduction! Instead we will implement 2 weeks of scheduled 2x events.

Happy Mapling!

Dont forget to buy NX

Big Bang Level EXP Curve - sicnarf - 2010-12-02

Maybe I'm dense, but what's so wrong about the graph?

sicnarf Wrote:Maybe I'm dense, but what's so wrong about the graph?

nothing really. It just doesn't really show the dramatic cut in EXP from basically the first 100+ levels. It basically looks like they didn't change anything besides make the exponential graph smaller.

Big Bang Level EXP Curve - Loose - 2010-12-02

I love charts! They're so visual!

Cyanne Wrote:Overall decrease: 37.58%
1st job decrease: 68.76%
2nd job decrease: 75.42%
3rd job decrease: 63.11%
4th job decrease: 37.21%

Also, more trivia: post-big bang, the exp it takes to do 199 -> 200 is higher than the exp it takes to do 1 -> 153.

We need a graph from Nexon to show this...assuming it is what we get.

Big Bang Level EXP Curve - loANGELol - 2010-12-02

Nexon failed to mention monsters have higher HPs meaning they "might" take longer to killl. Lower exp does not necessary equal to faster levelling.

Most training maps now come with pretty dense mobs.
You'll be 2 hitting everything, forever. With trash gear, that is. Have fun.

Check out this thread for some %/hrs.

Training is significantly faster post-bb. And GMS looks like its keeping its 2x cards. This is going to be a ball.

Not exactly everything. For the most part, yes, but I can't see you 2-shotting Time Temple or other higher level mobs in trash gear considering they have well over 100k to 300k+ HP.

May be for low levels mobs but definitely not high level mobs (e.g. skeles). This is based on my GMST experience.

Edit: Just realise Dark Link pointed it out already.

Simply put, NO.

With even moderate funding on my Chief Bandit, doing 15~30k damage with Band of Thieves at level 105 on a level 98 monster, it still takes me 3 - 4 hits to kill these stupid Homunculus. Saying you'll always be two-hitting monsters is out-right false and gives majorly false hopes to players. In fact, I can barely three hit kill Skelegons, a monster in the 150 range, with my Viper, who does ~150k damage per Dragon Strike.

What he said.
And don't think by fighting monsters way weaker than you, like you would do Pre-BB, that it would work, because it doesn't. Fighting monsters 10 levels under you because you'll 1-shot them completely obliterates your EXP until about 105+ (At which point training grounds become significantly more scarce as well).
Even after 105, fighting monsters your level is still a good idea (Unless you're after something specific).

In reference to the original post: That graph is hilarious. By looking at it, it implies that the curve is exactly the same until like 100, which is simply wrong. Getting 100 is extremely easy in Post-BB, where Pre-BB it was pretty hellish. Not as hellish as 101-200 of course, but that's not the point. They're no where near the same curve, at all.

Big Bang Level EXP Curve - Kabanaw - 2010-12-02

Not to mention the exp needed to level actually holds in the same spot for 5 levels around every job advancement.

This is why we all love Nexon of America so so much. If they gave the player base accurate relevant and timely info. We would all be like WTPineapple
is going on. Oh Noes its the end of the world
