A - "Listening to music

B - "How do you make that inverted b?"
B - "Oh pineapple"

Brain works the other way it should sometimes.

If I could make a ridiculous censor, it be eos=fios.

Is that a portmanteau of Fiel and Eos or are you just amazed by my blazing fast speed?

Dear pear. - Shidoshi - 2010-11-10

We should censor Eos to Fiel and Fiel to Eos!

Am I the only one who thinks the word censors are getting REALLY ridiculous? I mean, pineapple, pomegranate, pumpernickel (when it was in use), even peach and passionfruit were okay. But plantain and pimento? wtp? and now dear is censored to pear, how does that even make any sense? what logical reason is there to censor the word "dear"? it's not even a fucking curse.

Dear pear. - Eos - 2010-11-10

Kortestanov Wrote:it's not even a fucking curse.

Fiel noted regularly that the purpose of the filters weren't to prevent swearing, so why would it matter if it were a curse?
There are numerous filters you never notice because they do things that aren't obvious, like change URLs.

The intention was it rhymes and "new generations". But I like the Fiel/Eos thing better. I support making both fiel/eos have both their names censored to such a hybrid.

Dear pear. - Link - 2010-11-10

I like the censor where you switch all vowels around better.

Mute Wrote:This is by far the single most stupid and most inane and pointless of all the filters, jokingly enacted or otherwise. This has and will continue to disrupt the flow of many a standard conversation that will no doubt occur on this site. Whether it is through the nexon blog update posts or in any given thread throughout the forums it is by far the worst filter idea I've ever yet to lay my eyes on. The novelty of it is outweighed by the level of how much of a nuisance it is instead. The thought is nice, and it was a clever little easter egg to secretly hide away within the forum's filter, but it is highly unneeded.

I've gotta ask why it was even implemented.

inb4 "u mad?" and other such remarks.

Eosian Wrote:To annoy you, because I could.

Eos is just a coy bastard that enjoys fucking with our heads, like the manipulative chessmaster he is.

And yet the point at the core of the filters and the reason (IMO) they are funny is that the original words are curses.

And my point is they're pointless since the majority mutilate their text even worse just to get what they feel is a closer approximation of the word originally was when the meaning was the exact same regardless.

Fios and Eel just don't seem fair.

One's an expensive piece of pomegranate, the other's a slimy sea worm that may or may not conduct electricity naturally.

Expensive service, not thing.

sorry, i've got a bias this time, so yeah.

Why do you think i enlisted in the navy? Trust me i think my mother's a worthless sack of sh'it too that's purpose in life is to make everyone elses lives hell. so yeah, hate away, i'll join in on hating her.

I assumed you were looking for a few good men and wanted to be addressed as seaman...
