B&W Gameplay - Solarboy - 2010-09-19 Gotta love how I have the only flashcard that Pokemon B/W don't work on (R4i Neo) B&W Gameplay - TKWizard - 2010-09-19 I wonder where do you get the Earthquake TM? I can retire my Warubiru if I can get my hands on it. Also, you SHOULD get Victini even though its not going to be on your team, its an Event Legendary. All you need to do is go to Mystery Gift (ふしぎな おくりもの , then select おくりものを うけとる, select はい at the prompt, then select Wi-Fiで うけとる, and select yes at the prompt to connect to Wi-Fi mystery gift to get your Liberty Ticket.Start your game and head over to any Pokemon Center to get the Liberty Ticket from the guy on the left, and then go to Hiun City and go to the far west and head down, then talk to the boat person to go to Liberty Island. At Liberty Island, defeat all the Team Plasma Grunts and fight Victini, then attempt to catch it! You download the wondercard off of wi-fi after you get mystery gift (dunno how in b/w though, you'll probably be able to find out with a quick google search or visit to serebii/pokebeach/other). It'll give you a liberty ticket that you use to travel to liberty island, where you'll have to beat up a bunch of weak TP grunts and then battle victini at lv 15. Edit: Ninja'd (for the first time too D=) B&W Gameplay - Mute - 2010-09-19 Daku Wrote: D'aww, he's level 18. B&W Gameplay - Polka - 2010-09-20 critical hits in this do way too much damage B&W Gameplay - TKWizard - 2010-09-20 Really? Criticals do the same for me.. B&W Gameplay - Link - 2010-09-20 I just started playing Black today. I had completely forgotten about its release due to Vindictus being the only thing on my mind the last couple of days (and now I feel smothered by it XD). It's pretty interesting so far. I'm liking the new graphics and stuff. I'm kind of surprised that I've understood about 95% of everything said so far. I had to choose Kanji mode because reading pure Hiragana/Katakana makes my head hurt after a while. There's something about Kanji that makes reading so much easier... B&W Gameplay - Jon - 2010-09-20 Roxas Wrote:Playing the game blindly here, don't really understand anything, is there a guide or anything?I've been blindly playing as well, but it seems a lot more linear than previous titles. No real guide that I'm aware of. B&W Gameplay - TKWizard - 2010-09-20 Its linear until up to the sixth gym. Once you have Surf and fly, you can backtrack a bit. One of the first things I did was get an Ice Cream (Banipucchi) and a Kibago B&W Gameplay - Link - 2010-09-20 Team Plasma wants to free all pokemon? ...Huh? They have their own play through of things which is essentially a guide for the entire thing. If you're like me, I play ds while i have the computer on, so i end up using quite a few tabs. The most important tab i think is Serebii's B/W pokedex (so you know when your pokemon are leveling/what attacks they learn next) as well as this thread on Smogon: http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=78929 , which translates everything from natures, to new attacks, to new abilities. If you can compare shapes, then you can compare Japanese writing systems. If you don't have japanese on your computer, then you're pineapple'ed. B&W Gameplay - Link - 2010-09-20 Am I the ONLY one having problems with the first gym? No matter what I do, I keep getting one-hit killed by the gym leader's Hiyappu or whatever the f'uck the blue monkey is. My Pokabu is level 15 and I can't even do 5% damage to the damn thing when I even use normal attacks. There's no where to "train" up my pokemon because everything around is level 3 - 4 pokemon who give only about 15 EXP, which is less than 1%, so leveling up a pokemon once within an hour is probably not even going to happen... Yeah, training on wild Pokemon is going to be tough this gen because the exp is curved. My suggestion, if you don't want to get the elemental monkey, is to get Yooterii since it has decent attack and speed for a Route 1 Pokemon and a Choroneko for Sand-Attack. Always attack and hopefully you'll defeat it before it rapes your team with a +3~6 STAB'd Water Gun. |
