Why wait for big bang? Wouldn't it be better to be a higher lvl before big bang comes out? If your able to get to 180 before big bang comes out when the new exp comes out getting to 200 will be a peace cake.
Atm their is free x4 going on, you don't even have to buy a x2 card for it. When big bang comes out, you will complain that their isn't enough x2 events to help you lvl faster.
When the new exp comes out you will not be getting to 200 faster, because you lost all the potential exp before hand waiting for big bang.

I don't understand why some think it's pointless to train until Big Bang arrives. Yes the exp curve is lowered somewhat (by 30% I think I read), but the mobs will have 3 times worse exp/hp ratios.
So unless you log in 3x more powerful the day big bang arrives, why would it be easier? Please explain.

Well since they change the formulas and skill percentages, yes I will actually log in and find my previously sucky mobing skill to be immensly more powerful. But that aside, I agree with you it will be easier to level, but not as much as some make it sound like.

I would personally appreciate it if they patched DC hacks for good and have the server set a limit on how much packets can be transmitted to any single person real time...so I can log on. Oh yeah, and also fix the Win 7 issues...since even when I am able to log on I DC every 15 minutes. -_-!

I usually use 2x exp/drops. And I like training my character, but not for 2 hours just for one level. I like a bit faster growth.

just afk your character in maps ppl don't normally visit often (for those who dc, oh and i have windows 7 pro..and i don't dc that much)
i afked my character in wolf cavern
i dont mind how long training takes me, as long as the looting recovers my pots used lol

The exp curve is completely changed. Instead of being one large equation, it's become a piece-wise system depending on job. There's also "holds" in the exp around job advances where the required exp to level stays the same for about 5 levels.
But for the most part, exp needed was reduced about 60%. Mind you, job skills, damage, and mob exp and HP have also changed a ton, so 60% less exp needed to level doesn't necessarily mean 2.5x leveling speed.

weekend 2x exp events is not going to push many people to play Maplestory. Many of us are of the "wait till BB to level" mindset right now, and while that may be slightly illogical given the increase of monster HP, it's still a mindset that many of us carry.
for this reason they should hurry up with the BB patch.

it will essentially be easier than what we have now because we don't need as much exp and the damage is OMGWTFHAX for everyone. If you level pre-BB, you get more SP to play with later with theh SP resets. Level after, you have the same goal, but you still also have to work for it. Personally i don't level that fast (1 year to level to 14x!), so i'll be taking my time with leveling speed till BB comes out.

it's called, they tried. they put time stamps on all chats i think. i guess programmers are smarter than nexon's programmers though since people are still finding ways around it
