Battle mage guide - Remoir - 2010-12-21 Following this guide, thanks Takebacker~ Battle mage guide - donovan - 2010-12-21 I found that at level 30 going 1 Spell Mastery, 1 Dark Chain, 1 Quad Blow then maxing Staff Mastery was great, not sure why you wouldn't max Mastery first, as it increase Damage/Crit Rate/Mastery. Besides, Blue Aura, Yellow Aura, Dark Chain, and Quad Blow are all pre-requistes for later skills. Mastery is a must, and Booster lasts only 90 seconds at max. There's just nothing else worth giving up in place of it. Battle mage guide - Dusk - 2010-12-21 This is the build I followed: 1st job: 10: 3 Triple Blow, 1 Teleport, 1 Finish Attack Max Triple Blow Max Teleport Max Dark Aura Max Finish Attack Level 1 Dark Aura does nothing unless you somehow have over 100 Magic Attack, so there's no point in getting it early except for the subtle effect. Battle Mages consume a ton of mana with their 1st job skills, so maxing Teleport early is a must. It's not just for pot costs. It is very annoying to pot every 5 seconds because you ran out of mana to Teleport. Max Dark Aura next, then Finish Attack. You won't be using Finish Attack much. 2nd job: 30: 1 Dark Chains, 1 Quad Blow, 1 Yellow Aura 5 Mastery 1 Booster Max Mastery +4 Booster (5) Max Quad Blow Max Yellow Aura 1 Blue Aura Max Dark Chains Max Booster Max Blue Aura 3 Blood Drain I haven't gotten Blood Drain yet (still level 5x) but it doesn't seem to matter much. I'd rather have the maxed Booster timer since it's so short already. Yellow Aura is much better than Dark Aura for training, in my opinion, although I'm 1hkoing EVERYTHING at my level since Quad Blow is so strong so I don't really need Dark Aura for anything. The extra speed is pretty helpful, and attacking at Faster (3) speed feels amazing. Everything else in this build is pretty self-explanatory, I think. Battle mage guide - donovan - 2010-12-21 I got 1 Drain early on and HP pots use was minimal at drakes got maybe 4 levels consuming 7 Barbarian Elixirs. Agreeing with Yellow Aura statement, if you OHKO the monster the speed is definitely noticeable, and the increase in training speed. The "distributed" damage is the amount of damage that gets reduced. So if you take 100 damage and 30% is distributed, you take 70 damage instead. I haven't been able to test what the absorbed part means yet. I'll get on it later if I can find anyone who wants to help. Battle mage guide - Worthyness - 2010-12-21 Since booster and drain both have crappy durations, could you possibly do booster at 10 and 13 drain (for the 4% ? They last just about the same time, just didn't know if GMS implemented the +2 booster at all levels or +1/+2 split. (I'm pretty sure they have the +2 at all levels).

If that's the case, then the skill descriptuion is probably backwards and should read : Absorbs xx% of damage taken, and distributes xx% of the absorbed damage among party members. Maybe? Anyone who's ever played a post-BB 3+ job mage knows how amazing Tele Mastery is and how great of a 1-pointer it is. Adv Dark Chain increases your Dark Chain range by a ton, and obviously that first point in Death Blow helps up your damage by a lot. Next you'll want that first point in Battle Mastery for +11% damage, and 1 Super Body for the extra +1 attack speed 1/3 of the time and 1 Conversion; in case you go somewhere and you need +64% HP for 1 point, it's there. Battle Mastery is the biggest damage booster, so that's maxed first. Next is Death Blow, and then Tele Mastery. After that the build is kind of fuzzy, really depends on what you want. Battle mage guide - donovan - 2010-12-22 Got to 70 I ended up going 1 Teleport Mastery, 1 Dark Shock, 1 Quntinple Blow, probably should of done Battle Mastery instead, but I really like Dark Shock.
