Am I the only one who sees nothing wrong with this image at all? Even when it was new I didn't understand the big deal. They're both ugly. Is it because she's skinny and he's plump?

It's cuz she looks above average - the cutsy asian fob look that many asian (and the occasional westerner) strive to get. It's called "Ulzzang" - you can youtube this to find vids of makeup/hair tips along with showoff picture slideshow vids.

lol Then perhaps it is because she's skinny and he's plump. Anyway, I don't see anything wrong with this image either - but for a different reason and with my own history to back it up. And it's usually the underdogs that was better.

More and more chicks these days are preferring to date modest to underaverage looking men simply because they value a lady more -- which also means better treatment. That guy in the pic in fact, had similar physical appearances with the best and the worse guys I've dated so far. The best one (well, two guys actually) being the type who'd think two steps ahead of me - both of whom knew the kind of person I am what kind of temperament I had and went out their way for. From knowing when to give me space and when to intrude to opening doors, pulling chairs out for me and giving me his coat just cuz it rained. As for the best looking guy I'd ever dated.. lol the douchebag cheated on me. 'Nuff said.

I've actually not met very many who do act like that out of routine (as opposed to only doing it with a goal in mind). Acting gentlemanly is only the beginning - it makes for an attractive trait and tells the girl right off the bat that this guy is probably least likely to be an ass. lol I feel like I'm scaring people off. >:
