The one thing that aggravated me in Diamond was the return of low-speed surf.
Thankfully they went back to the faster version for Heart/Soul.

I don't miss the R/S/E generation at all because it was the worst generation of Pokemon. They weren't bad games, don't get me wrong; they just aren't as good as all of the other games available. One of the larger complaints I have about these games is that they lack Pokemon to find early in the game. It feels like up until the end you can only choose from five or six different Pogeys to catch and train, which sucks, because Pokemon has always been about variety. Around 14 routes in this game are made up of nothing but water which results in a lot of Tentacool x Wingull action, and the plotline sucked because Team Rocket was gone. Team Magma? Team Aqua? Are you kidding me?

These games did, however, introduce double battling. Those are always fun.

Funnily enough, Emerald is the only game I actually beat. ALl other games I give up just before Victory Road because of the need for HMs... God damn HMs.
