but yeah... if he somehow gets his oriental overall back... though, his was killed due to an error with the item lock, not a hacking, so i doubt they would. its not the same issue.

Wow, they really are improving. They refunded my 5 lost avatar tokens from DFO and 14 lost SP as well, so I guess this is a sign that they're finally getting better.

Oh man, I just love the fact that they can't replace an expired, scrolled item that vanished because of their glitch, but they can bring back a full inventory for someone who got their account stolen on their own accord. No offence, I just find it really funny. I don't know how Nexon deals with this stuff, I really don't.

In any case, grats on experiencing this. I'd love to say that this could be the beginning of a changed Nexon, but this is most likely just a one time event. Really, the experience you just had will probably never happen to anyone else again. If it does, it may just be a few more isolated instances.

Right. It should be standard practice. Unfortunately, Maple kiddies just LOVE giving away their info to "friends", or other people they think they can trust. Nexon's customer service is shit poor, I agree, but for them to do something like this for every account is too time consuming. If they perhaps came up with a more efficient way of doing this kind of thing, then maybe it would work out. According to the screenshots though, it seems they have to make every item individually again (probably looking through a log of some sort to make sure the items aren't photoshopped or anything) and then drop it all to the owner.

Amazing, and gratz on recovering. Can't help to think one who gets busted through social engineering deserves nothing of this sort though. So many got hacked for real because of Nexons security flaws and they will get nothing at all back. But you manage to get them to work fixing your own errors? Unfair is a mild word for that. If they fix every hacked account, fine, but if not, enjoy your extra special treatment. There will be a Nexon official knocking on your door shortly, expecting a blowjob supreme.

Not to mention the fact that he reported it in a timely matter, and took all the right steps to ensure Nexon knew of this before it was too late. He didn't wait until the last minute to tell them "Oh, it just expired today" with no evidence. He sent them screenshots, he gave them a well worded explaination. What did he get in return?

"Oh, it's just a visual glitch, okay?"

It obviously wasn't, and I don't know why any company would assure their customer of something they're not sure of. They didn't check into it thoroughly. They brushed it off as a visual glitch with no real investigation. Had they actually looked into it seriously, they would see that it's not just a visual glitch.

Then what did he get after his item vanished? A clean overall back.

"This is all the compensation we can give you."

Bullshit.

Yeah, they're done with his case. That's not the problem. The problem is that Nexon actually did something like this, proving it was possible to revert a whole inventory back to its original state, but they couldn't replace a single item for someone who got slapped in the face with an ironic glitch. Who would have guessed an item made to protect your items would end up destroying them?

Nexon sure does love shitting on their customers.

Too early to tell. Those glitches should have been fixed long ago. When they fix some of the other glitches (archers) and consistantly keep up with this kind of work, then I'll agree with this statement.

As it is now, Nexon hasn't done much other than take care of glitches from a few patches ago, and give a level 200 his items back. I doubt something like this will happen again, at least not any time soon.

you are one of the very few lucky players to get help from nexon. most of us get a big fat screw you from them if we get hacked. and not like its unfair for the rest of us to get the screw you, in my case it was also my fault. the unfair part is that some players get help and others have to restart from scratch.

well i am happy for you and just keep that account safe. you lucky you.

Based on my past observations of Nexon, they are much more likely to listen to high-ranked lvl 200s than to the general public. When Fiel was threatened with a lawsuit, one of high rank lvl 200s wrote on his behalf, and it was politely answered. I wrote also, and being a lvl 160 they closed the ticket with no reply.

I am glad you got your stuff back, but most of us won't be as lucky.
