Take that away and they won't make any money off of MTS Rolleyes.

Mardi gras - Bountyan - 2010-02-05

More pointless expiring items! Woot woot!

Je deteste le evenement

Mardi gras - Corn - 2010-02-05

Now that I think about it, Nexon replaced Chinese New Year with Mardi Gras.

That event sucked. Damn the annoying ghosts all over Henesys!

Mardi gras - Saar331 - 2010-02-06

Never heard of it?
it this a holiday in europe or something? lol?

Mardi gras - Chameleonic - 2010-02-06

Timelimited untradeable items, oh boy what a great event!

Pretty much. Mostly French.

Mardi gras - Sarah - 2010-02-06

Mardi Gras is a worldwide thing, though most North Americans don't hear much about it beyond the New Orleans celebrations which are known to get pretty out of hand. Most places have a lot of balls and stuff to celebrate, though.

Mardi gras - Kirov - 2010-02-06

I’ve never been a fan of events like these with expiring items. I prefer events like we used to have like lunar new year. Sure the items weren’t as good but I still have them all.

Who cares, who hangs out in Henesys anyway? Red meso envelopes > Expiring +3 masks

Lol... Did you really just ask that?

Let me rephrase.
What respectable mapler hangs out in Henesys anyway?

What i meant is the ghosts in Henesys aren't a real issue to maplers who are actually playing the game and doing something besides sitting at Maya's house all day smegaing their new outfits and haircuts.

To be fair, the red envelopes pumps a LOT of mesos into the economy. Which is NOT something GMS needs right now.

I'd rather have +3 stats than that.

To be fair, meso bags pump even more into the economy and Nexon has never had a problem selling those.

1) I seriously doubt that.
2) What does that have to do with this?

Mardi gras - Sarah - 2010-02-06

Takebacker Wrote:1) I seriously doubt that.

1. Yes, they absolutely do. 1, 5, 10m mesos in comparison to 1,000, 10,000, 100,000 mesos is absolutely way more. Even if you farm envelopes in bulk 80% of the time you're going to walk away with 1k's. Also keep in mind that most of the people who get the red evelopes are casuals who just end up spending those mesos on potions and stuff. It doesn't go back into the economy. People buy mesos bags in bulk specifically for the free market, and there's no doubt that people are doing it or Nexon wouldn't keep trying to sell them. If there's one thing Nexon knows how to do, it's selling bullshit no one ever needs.

2. There's no reason for Nexon not to hold the red envelope event when they continue selling meso bags which are far more harmful. They're not aware of the ingame economy, anyway, so it's not like they've taken that into consideration. Those envelopes helped a lot of low level people - myself included - several years ago.

I like this event and how maple actually put in creativity and though into SOMETHING NEW.
Gosh, it seems like everything maple dishes out is a disappoint to the majority. Makes me cry inside.
