By the way, me and Prov had this discussion on IRC before; but has anyone heard the Alien Ant Farm metal version of "Smooth Criminal"? The singer certainly gets the "Aaow!"s correct, and I really like that a lot. But really, the idea of turning the bassline of "Smooth Criminal" into the metal guitar riffs sounded nice in theory; but the problem is, the bassline of "Smooth Criminal" sounds a lot nicer to work with the song, and plus, it made it more able to be danced to. The other thing that isn't too great is the singer versus how Michael Jackson did the song.
