This was when the CS had just come into service. I begged my parents to let me buy 10k NX, in the end, my brother let me use his Paypal account to purchase it. I got alot of "how do u get glasses and funny name?" type questions as a result. I must have liked the attention (early cash whore?).

This was when my IRL friend got hacked after downloading fly hacks and getting keylogged. I had SSs of him using them but I don't know where they are, if they didn't get annahilated in a format or something. I think he lost something in the region of 500k's worth of items. Gubbins was the magician that pre-dated Gobbins, and had 17 STR, 13 DEX. He was deleted and remade because of this; my friends thought I was insane for deleting a level 29 character.

This is the earliest SS I have of Gobbins. I bought this robe for all the mesos I had (300k). It confused me at first. Why was it +2? Why does it have DEX, isn't this a mage robe? This makes no sense. Is this a hacked item DD:?! This spawned my first post (and thread) on MapleTip, in which I learned of scrolling equips from the wise ones who roamed its halls.

CLERIC DOWN! Much F4ing was done. My IRL friends pretty much defined my existence on Maple back then. We rarely did things without each other if we were all online.

Me and Jezjam on an adventure to Florina Beach! Little did I know at this point I'd be at the Lorang hidden street until 6x. I liked that my lightning bolt no longer did 10 damage to lightning-weak enemies.

Mushmom before 3rd job (I'm on the rope like a pansy). Absolute chaos, it's a wonder how anyone looted the spore without being flamed to buggery and back. We went to a few mushmom "parties" like this, virtually every single channel had at least one camper.

Fast forwarding a little, Boomers. Gobbins was loved when it came to clearing the mobs out. Shame my PC at the time lagged so unbelievably hard it'd freeze up until everything was dead. This one was done without Poison Mist. With poison mist, it looked something like this:

Sigh...Death Teddies. Everyone was on about how awesome the EXP was here; I heard figures upwards of 20%/hr off some. It was true, the EXP was OK, but nowhere near what I had been told on SW.net and in-game. I could get 10-12%/hr there at most while Hot sands only provided 6% or so. Problem was I died so often here the % gain rarely outstripped the loss. Also seeing as this was the place to be for hermits too, I got KS'd to hell by any hermit who saw my frozen mob and me doing 700 damage to each DT. Pretty sure my IRL friends had largely quit at this point, so this was around the point that I quit my I/L for the first time (started a months-long break), it was that demoralising. I had expected more from 3rd job, and Maple had let me down in supplying what it used to when my IRL friends were around.
