Paladins = Another high DPS class like heros - Russt - 2010-01-03 You would be able to tank 2.5x as much damage as with neither of the two. Another way to look at it is that you would need 0.4x the HP to survive. So with a hit of 25k, you actually only need 10k HP to tank it with Threaten and HB in effect. How much would it cost to wash that? I am not a paladin so I might have missed some things, but I dont think so. Lets take an example here. Paladin lvl 200 = 17 000 range with onyx apple, mw30, and echo of hero. Paladin with SI as well with a sword. I think the max speed is what like 95 blast per min I think. So lets calculate the max dmg this paladin can do. Damage = 17 000 (Range) * 10.87 (skill %)= 184 790 on nuetral. Imagine on holy weak. Also imagine on both holy and lightning weak. 184 790 *1.5 = Over 200k. <----max dmg cap. So Paladins will be restricted to 199 999 dmg per blast max dmg. DPM = 199 999 * 95 (number of blasts per min) = 18 999 905 <---This is there max dmg per minute if they hit max dmg each blast they do in that minute. Lets just say on anego they will probably be hitting max dmg each blast or smth right? 184k * 1.5 * 1.5= TOO HIGH? Even the minimum dmg of that max dmg is probably over 200k? DPS=316 665 A NL with similar fundings probably can do an average damage of what like 150k easy at lvl 200 with the same buffs ( i added in se, but i didnt for the paladin calculations) right? So DPS it is 250. If you have awesome fundings then it can go up to like what maybe 330k? So yeah paladins are dam strong now if you can hp wash it well. I was bored again lol! Probably the difference for unwashed Shadower/Buccaneers (Arans?) to fight PB. And the Aran definitely needs to be able to survive Big Bang without Combo Barrier, otherwise you can't attack to get it going. It's a shame Blast and Charge Blow only attack once (one line of damage) - I'd LOVE to play a Paladin if the hits were broken up into maybe 2-4 weaker hits that total to the same %. Anyway, personal preference I guess. Glad to see Nexon are doing something to balance other classes. I actually imagined a Shadower using Smokescreen and the Arans then using the time in Smokescreen to get 200 Combos, activating it. You'll need more than one Shad though. Paladins = Another high DPS class like heros - Tamillan - 2010-01-04 Acb is not as strong as blast, but still good on mobs xD. When it comes to 2-3 bosses thats when heros become very strong compared to paladins, but 1v1 Paladin sure is the king out of those two classes. Against elemental weak bosses like anego, then paladins are beasts. Threaten makes paladin's very usefull too now. It is good to see balancing happening in this game. I hope this thread helps people making a new character to maybe choose a paladin. They are just as good as heros xD. Heros still good compared to others classes, but now there is more competition for heros. Paladins is rare to see now, hopefully we will see more variety of classes. Mix of all classes is nice to see. In that case, it's either stand on top of PB in the corner, or the aran's forced to move back every time he/she does an attack sequence. DR will be an issue, but can arans reach 200 combo on a single target in 40 seconds? If so, that should be enough to keep barrier going, though the combo loss will be a huge dent in damage. I meant threaten for the horntail legs thing. My stance was maxed at that time, 90% is just not as good as u think, on the right side i couldnt do a 200 combo before falling so yeah, and i have to stand on those little plats to attack. I guess there is less problem on PB if i can take a body hit/atk when he is on DR. 4 mins is enough time if im gonna hug it to avoid sed/poke it while pb has dr on even easier if pb is gonna be on the corner forever. Not sure if i could use barrier before pb is summoned though at Ariel part/last hawk statue. |
