That was my mistake on the "Baby" instead of "Baba".

Can't it be said that Dark Tokens are still from Versal? They may not be the same currency or item, but I think they meant Dark Tokens to be hinted as Versalian.
I think of Dark Tokens as something like Versal's equivalent to our Maple Coins for Spiegelmann.
