Parents thread - Ryanide - 2009-09-29 AZN FAMILY. My dad's a freaking lion, if we do things wrongly (like paint using a tiny paintbrush lol) he'll roar as us. My mom's like a two timing weirdo, sometime's shes siding with you and sometimes shes against you >_> Also, I heard that opposite (in terms of attitude) people attract? My Chemistry teacher (married to my ex-physics teacher/current form teacher) is a talking peach but is fucking good in explaining work. The husband on the other hand is a quiet asswipe who will 'RAGEEEEEE' when his 'overlimit bar reaches'. Also he sucks at teaching. Parents thread - ablu2 - 2009-09-29 Ryanide Wrote:AZN FAMILY. Its called siding with the side of the argument you agree with, which might mean she is generally neutral-ish. As neutral, she changes her position to the other side of the argument when decent information is provided for that side. XD) Parents thread - SuperNerd - 2009-09-29 Where do I start? When I was born, I was diagnosed with Spina bifida--for those of you who do not know what this is, to sum it up: when a baby is born, when the embryonic neural tube does not close completely, the spinal chord begins to twist and curve, etc.--so my spine was bent in what almost looked like a 'C'. The doctors did what they could, and proclaimed I'd never walk. My mum and dad already had things hard. The only reason my dad married my mum is because he got her pregnant with me. My father was a lazy ass, leaving my mum, even when pregnant, to do everything. And I mean EVERYTHING. When my mum got fed up with him, she finally told him what's what and laid everything down that he had responsibilities now and such. After that... she was pregnant again with my brother, and he left. He didn't want the responsibilities and he didn't want anything to do with me and my problems. By law, when I got older, I stayed with my mum but my father suddenly began to demand that he get to see me a full weekend every other weekend. It wasn't a lot, but a lot of the times he brought me over, he'd ask me things about mum's personal life--like he was some kind of reporter and getting the scoop--being young, I didn't know any better, so I told. He'd constantly use stuff like this against her. He wanted to somehow end the Child Support contract thing, where he's required to pay my mum a sum of cash for me and my brother. He'd always find some way to weasel out of it, or just conveniently say that he sent it but it never arrived. As far as we knew, there was really nothing that could be done. After awhile, he became a very wealthy man. Really shows what karma does, eh? He leaves us to practically fend for ourselves in dumpsters, while he goes on to be one of the guys who pretty much owns a Six Flags (down here in GA), so he has a huge house now. A life of luxury, with about 6 big screen TVs, a billion pets, magnificent furniture, a two-story house with approximately 10 rooms, and he still has the money to upgrade anything and everything whenever he wants--oh and he has a new wife, Shannon, and a new son named Jojo (Jordan) who he spoils rotten to the core. While me, my mum, my brother and new sister are living in a two room apartment duplex, barely scrapping by for the month's rent and affording what food we can. Thank god I had medical coverage back then, my weekly doctor visits and medication probably summed up to thousands and thousands. We did what we could, and even so, things like birthdays and Christmas were great. Oh, and sometime in there, my father and my brother, Zach, developed some bond. He loves him as much as he loves his own son, Jojo. I guess it's because pretty much everything between the two is completely in common. I don't like any of the things my father does, and even if I did, I'd still feel the same way I do now. He treats them like kings, while I'm a mere peasant. I remember one year he bought Jojo an Xbox 360, a Wii, Rockband for the Wii and about 2-3 games for each console with 'em. Then he got Zach a set of BB Guns and some other expensive pomegranate I can't recall. And... I got a 10 dollar shirt and 25 bucks in a card. I'm 19 now, and my father apparently thought that once I hit 18, that the Child Support would end and he would never have to pay my mum again. But clearly the contract stated until Zach was 18, as well. So he's been trying to take us to court to sue and nullify it. Yeah. Even through all this, I still feel like I should love the man. I mean, he is still my father, right? Beh. Parents thread - Throes - 2009-09-29 SuperNerd Wrote:Even through all this, I still feel like I should love the man. I mean, he is still my father, right? And to add on to that, I never knew my dad because he left my mom once he found out she was pregnant (according to my mom), so my mom's raised me all by herself ever since my birth. She never let me do chores because she wanted to make sure I was not too busy to do my homework and she always trusted that I knew what I was doing so she never decided on things for me, school-, career- and love life-wise (note: I'm still a virgin and proud of it ).Now I'm in college and on my own, but I still make sure to call her every week to let her know I'm doing all right (because long-distance calls suck big-time, so I just use Skype ).My brothers are both in jail and they both knew and were raised by both their dad and my mom, and according to my mom, their dad was an abusive jerk. Never met him, and I'm glad he wasn't my dad. I was raised by my mom alone, which pretty much showed a huge difference between me and my siblings. My mom is awesome.
