It's relevant because Pokemon did not just put out a card game or video games. The genius of their marketing scheme was to put really big entries into every medium noticed by children -- cartoons, card games, video games, toys, "freebies" in fast-food restaurants, etc. The games are not separate from the card game because a lot of people do both, and a lot of people get hooked on one by doing the other.

I'M AN INANIMATE OBJECT. I'VE GOT CLOUD HAIR.

I was flipping through channels the other day and happened upon the new pokemon episodes. It was about Drifloon I watched 15 minutes of it and wanted to pop the dumb balloon. Also Suicune was in the episode and I have to wonder what the hell is going that they're mixing regional/generational pokemon??

But then again Ho-Oh was in the very first episode of pokemon so...
