Well, here's what I'd say:
It's possible, but remember this: When you level, your HP is reset to it's "default" max (before hp equips and whatnot), so as a warrior with PG, its not that easy to do, as right as you level, you'll be set back to your 1x,xxx or 2x,xxx hp (or even 30,000 if you have that).
When I did that on my archer for my 120 level up, I died at Crog as I didnt have enough hp pre-hb to survive a hit. However, I cant think of very many things that do 10-20k dmg.

What if you lose the 10% exp before getting the exp from the mob you kill? A safety charm would have allowed me to lvl in such a case.

I leveled up through dying @ balrog once, so it was possible before at least.

Eh, you'd have to have somehow gotten the exp first before the server registers that you're dead. That's my 2 cents.
