Hi dex/str/luk-that big of a deal? - Kabanaw - 2009-06-09 Opeth Wrote:I'm somewhat of a damage whore. I like seeing big numbers, but I don't flaunt my stuff or make a big deal out of it. Hence why my Bucc has 20 base Dex. It just annoys me when people do make a big deal out of it. The other day I was training my bandit, who has high dex, and I think a brawler called me a noob because my damage is a little low. I decided to go high dex because I've always been poor in Maple, and probably will continue to be poor. I don't have the money for awesome gear needed to be low stat. Hi dex/str/luk-that big of a deal? - DragonsWrath - 2009-07-12 the damage difference is considerable, but honestly - my main reason for going as "Statless" as i can is so that i dont regret having unneccessary stat points later on as my gear increases - i.e. an eventually scrolled +10dex zakum helm and a +5dex belt (from the mu lung training dojo, whenever that comes out) will total 110dex for my Bucc, letting me wear a 110 knuckle. but this dex comes off gear that i cant have now (and the lvl 110 knuckle being rare as is right now), so i stick with being dexless until i can afford better gear and i dont look at AP resets for anything but HP washing. another example - my first WK has 6x base dex or so, keeping in mind he was my second character. with the common gear that my pirate uses i can easilly give him the neccessary acc while being dexless, but its not like i can afford the AP resets to get him to that. ...yes, being dexless is my way to save money on a free game. |
