make sure you will benefit from the +1 speed before recubing. IA crit is pretty powerful, because it leaves room for better weapon potentials. 25%boss neb, or 40% boss potential (best) definitely trumps 9%crit neb or 12% crit potential.
...... after IA revamp.... i need 30% crit to replace 12% emblem line, 7% 2ndary neb, and 10% crit ring.
green pots are easy to farm from mpe, a lot of high end players like to cube for dSI gloves, plus booster, should get you to Faster (2); oh wait... f/p? iirc, magic spell cast speed is a little different from the other atk speeds... im sure there's a thread somewhere

I know, I've already worked it all out. I can drop 21% M.Att and still cap crits without Fervent Drain, which is all I really need.
+1 Attack Speed stacks with everything you mentioned and works perfectly fine on magicians so there's no reason not to get it if it means an increase in DPS.

in general, +1 attack speed is ~9% increase; its been a while since i played mage seriously, i know they have great crit rates. yeah you're right; if your main dpsing skill caps, then all you have left is attack speed.
