[v3] - FrozNlite - 2013-09-16 See Wrote:FrozNlite; I've been using hydrating hair products for a few months hoping that my hair wouldn't be so dry, but it's still about the same. Is it because I just rub it with a towel to dry off or am I sol? Protips pls First off yes, great first improvement from gym shorts and tees - and FYI, you don't need to keep your collar buttoned down if you're not wearing a tie. Hair: are you a swimmer by any chance? Your hair reminds me of the chlorine-fried locks my fellow swimming peers suffered through. If you're not, then do you do any other sport(s)? How often do you wash your hair? What's the average heat and humidity like in Mississippi? Do you use any styling products? Your hair definitely looks dry but the difference between towel drying and air drying is pretty negligible. I'm curious as to what else you do to better help. But for starters, you could always invest in a hydrating styling product that you leave in throughout the day. Post your picture! I do not swim, but I play soccer, tennis, and run cross country. I wash my hair once or twice a day depending on how many separate times I work up a sweat. It's really wishy-washy in MS.. Some days we hit 90s, the next day we may hit 60s. Always unbelievably humid. I use 'Axe Spiked Up Look' spiking glue sometimes. Would you be able to recommend a hydrating styling product? I googled it and saw Moroccan Oil immediately; that's what my hairdresser uses, but I hear it's expensive. Worth it or should I try something else? Post your picture! I like Crew's, and you can find it in pretty much any Target/drug-store, etc. It's relatively cheap by comparison to some other hair products (like $20-$25 I think) and it'll do the trick for not making your hair look like it's gonna start a forest fire. Post your picture! [v3] - MasPan - 2013-09-21 Slowly growing confident enough to start smiling in pictures instead of just grinning/smirking. A lot of it has to do with a particular friend of mine that I'm looking forward to seeing when I go home for the holidays. I've gone through some huge positive personality shifts partly because of her. With less than a year left in the Navy, I finally feel like I'm fixing some of the things that bothered me about my attitude/approach to life. The last few months in particular have been almost exhausting in the degree of overwhelming changes. It's a good thing, though. And yet, I still look years younger than I actually am. Hopefully this continues well into my 30s. 24 and looking 18 isn't the worst thing ever.

You can also look into Moroccan Oil (they really are fantastic, but I can only personally attest to the power of their shampoo/conditioners, not styling products), along with other great brands like Bumble & bumble, Alterna, and Kerastase. Some of those are expensive, so I'd suggest just heading to sephora.com and searching styling products with your areas of concern checked. You'll find something great! Post your picture! Mmm, I do break out pretty badly. :< Thanks for the heads up! Post your picture! [v3] - MariettaRC - 2013-09-22 See, if I had a smartphone, I wouldn't be taking pictures in my bedroom all the time. But the news here is that my hair is no longer short enough to do the poofy thing.

Especially when they played your favorite 90s song. Oh yeahhhh
