On a side note, what monster ETC's from Magatia can make Mid Grade Monster Crystal C for the second quest? Though here in MSEA it's just called Intermediate Monster Crystal Tongue

Can you guys explain this better:
you get diamonds and you need to "re grade" them and whatever grade u get it upgrades the equipments 100%?

Sorry if it's been asked before, but It's 19 pages, and I have to leave to the store soon.

The black and dark crystals give random stats, yes. But does that include everything? As in, you could get atk and m.atk as well as defense?
And since they're two different jewels, is it possible to use both on the same forge and hope for a good outcome?

Also, what are the chances they add more things to the maker skill? Either the list in eos's thread hasn't been update, or that's all there is, which would be slightly disappointing, as that still means you can't forge some of the rarer drops...
I want to think Nexon of America will add iTCG to our maker skill seeing as how it's dead and some places aren't stocking anymore, but we'll see if their business practices have improved or not. Rolleyes

Might have more questions later.

Black and dark crystals act more like chaos scrolls on non-AP (str/dex/etc) stats and AP stats respectively. The stats have to already be there, and the crystals can both add and remove stats.

Let me make sure I got this right.

Black: + or - 1/2/3 of hp/mp/def/mdef/acc/avoid/speed/jump
Dark: + or - 2/3/5 of int/str/luk/dex

And the stats already have to be there, huh? Well, when you put up several jewels when forging an item, does it apply the affects one at a time after the item is created, or does it just add the stats all at once?
I guess it also comes down to: does the "random" affect get decided before or after the crystal's turn to be applied? I'm hoping Isaac or another kms player would know.

If it turns out the crystals are applied in order of what jewel slot they're dropped into, it could be that people could put a desired stat first - so that it gets added to the item before the black/dark crystal - and then a crystal with a random affect, hoping to get a raise in that stat. I.E. More than 5 str on a glove for thieves, etc. (Which normally have no str, and 5 is the highest you can get from a stat crystal.)

This reminds me so much of the Silkroad Onlines Alchemy system. There you can also break down equipment which gives "elements".

How much Monster Crystals go for in KMS? Because in SRO, I managed to make millions just buying items, breaking them and selling the elements.

Would it be profitable in MS also?

It would definitely be profitable if you bought the equips before the patch, but then again, most things mentioned in this thread would be.

I know I wouldn't NPC level 50+ equips ever again. I think it'll be a really good use for below-average drops.

I can't say whether it'd be profitable in the long run to use on bought equips, but it probably would be quite profitable early on, since it'll take a while for people to collect lots of etc items.

EDIT: Dumb question, but can you break up equips that aren't in your class/level range?

Check the Reverse Lampion thread, Fiel put up some screens of SEAs prices and i think monster crystals were there for around 3~5 mil each.

at the very most they're like 150k each on kMS.. most types run around 50k each or less though.

Apparently you have to break down ARMORS for your own class. No weapons, and no armors from other classes. :/
