Beta ones lock rank B and below, Alpha ones lock rank A and below, once the line you choose to lock is locked you use a circulator and that line either holds its rank or is upgraded with a new Inner Ability. Just checked my 'recent purchases' and it was 5 locks, I must've imagined one up.
I have a question, do the locks stay in place for a set period of time, or do they disappear after the use of one circulator?

I have 23x W. ATK, 14x% LUK, 10% Boss (from DS's link skill)
I'm pretty lacking in attack
