They could incorporate the new into the old, but that would take massive work compared to KMS or JMS paths.

The announcement for the update has only stated February, so far. So no one knows.

There was never a akarium when JMS made silent crusade so they couldn't have "taken it out". That was one of KMS' additions to pre existing maplestory content.

You misunderstand. KMS, which is of course canon, implemented their version of silent crusade in their own way and that includes the boss "Arky". JMS just recently implemented Arky without the KMS version of Silent Crusade and its questline, thus lifting Arky out of his KMS context. It is totaly and utterly irrelevant that JMS had their version first.

He didn't really spawn many ground summons, so that kinda screwed us over. The mass sed was at a bad time, too.
