Lozmaster Wrote:Well, pomegranate, yeah, but that's true of everything. Superman 64 isn't bad unless you compare it to ...literally anything else. (Hooray, hyperbole)

It's quite possibly the worst RPG I've ever played (albeit I do avoid most of the bad ones by choice. If only I could have avoided sticker star). It also doesn't matter whether they've played the previous games or not, because it's certainly the worst retail RPG on 3DS that I can think of. And not to get too anecdotal here, but I know people who've not played any of hte paper mario games before, and they hated it too (as rpg fans).

The entire battle system is absolute shi't. How no-one called them out during development on the fact that they managed to ruin an almost perfect system they had from Thousand year door is beyond me. Oh right, because miyamoto said so, the same reason they threw out all the funny characters and plot from previous games too.

There are far, far too many good games on 3DS to recommend a mediocre title like paper mario.

I... I was just giving suggestions, you hater!! Frown

Edit: Also, I was implying that when it's not compared to other entries in its series it isn't a bad game, not games in general. Rolleyes

Bowser never talks in Stickler Star.

Seriously? Bowser is like one of the funniest character in mario RPGs, and you ruined it.

I found this on Youtube tonight.

Since ALBW was released early in some areas, someone is already ripping the soundtrack. Dude... The music in this game is amazing. I cannot wait to get this game. I wonder if Gamestop in my area will be doing a midnight release tomorrow night for the XBox One. I'd go just for my Zelda 3DS.

...I don't suppose there's a way to farm Rupees in Link Between Worlds, is there? Rolleyes

Other than that, this game is really amazing, even if albeit easy because I've played other Zelda games before. xd

Danger mario.
There goes your "perfect system".

These are my two favorite themes from A Link Between Worlds, I think.

 Spoiler

I absolutely adore the new mini game theme.

If you're implying the reason for the system being changed is to make it more balanced, you couldn't be more wrong. First, it's entirely possible to do 300 damage per turn with little effort in sticker star, with a sticker you can easily get multiple copies of (something like infinite jump), or the thing stickers that are bsically guarenteed one hit kills. Not that you had any reason to stay in fights, because you don't get any reward for doing it.

And Woopdeedoo, there were a couple of badge combinations that made mario ridiculously strong. The clear differences between that and the pomegranatety sticker system are
A) you get to choose if you do that, and
B) that doesn't actually change the battle system at all.

I actually can't think of many jrpgs where you can't horribly break the battle system in some sense to make the enemies hilariously weak compared to you.

I never played sticker star(people recommended for me not to buy it).
Im just pointing out that it isnt perfect, and to be honest, even if i didnt get 50 badges for danger mario, one charge badge alone makes the game very easy. You basically have to put on slow go and double pain for there to be a semblance of difficulty. All im saying is the system isnt perfect.
That doesnt change the fact that TTYD was an amazing game. lol. It is definitely my favorite mario RPG. Definitely one of my favorite RPGs ever.

People had rupee issues in a link between worlds?

I love ALBW (though a little on the short side but i dont know if thats because i knew exactaly what to to to get to places thanks to ALTTP) well except for one dungeon but thats becase i despised the ice dungeon in ALTTP(which i think is harder then the water temple in OOT)

The ONLY thing people had trouble on is remembering which rooms go where. The difficulty and length of the temple itself actually makes it the easiest temple in the entire game (First 3 dungeons don't count since they're tutorials). That's why the only thing they did to make it "easier" in the 3DS remake is mark the more important rooms with different colors so you're less likely to forget.

People are already speedrunning A Link Between Worlds in under 2.5 hours.
People be quick on the routes!

It might be a possibility for SGDQ2014. The schedule for AGDQ2014 has been finalized for about a month and a half now.

Honestly, in all these years I've yet to ever know/hear/see somebody use the map in ANY Zelda game whether they're good at the games or not. So my answer is, "No, they probably don't think or care to use the map".
