Currently Airing Anime - Hanabira.Kage - 2011-04-03 Sn1perJohnE Wrote:Freezing - Special 1 - Tits, nothing more. Expected x100000000000.
That's why I refrained from watching it. It's the Zero no Tsukaima beach special all over again. 1000% fanservice. Currently Airing Anime - Dyxanije - 2011-04-03 I finally went though the list for Spring. Here is what caught my attention: Hanasaku Iroha Shouwa Monogatari Oretachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai Steins;Gate 30-sai no Hoken Taiiku Sket Dance Moshidora Hidan no Aria Maria†Holic Alive Ao no Exorcist Appleseed XIII Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko Bolded means I'm going to watch it, unbolded means I'm going to keep an eye on it. Currently Airing Anime - PSAssassin - 2011-04-03 Star Driver 25: FABULOUS! Wow, that finale was way over the top, in a TTGL kind of way. I could give my overall opinion of the show and tell about how sub-par I thought it was overall, but I'm too after watching this episode.Checklist of this episode's contents: Crazy, unexplained plot twists coming out of nowhere? Check Coherent plot? Unnecessary Super awesome animation with fabulous rainbow mecha fights? Aww Yea Seriously, the animation quality was excellent. I think they probably put more effort and money into the mecha fights in this episode than all the other ones combined. I also really liked how they brought back all of the awesome songs from their soundtrack, like Monochrome, to the fights, as it added an extra layer of awesomeness to it. Sure, the whole story of the finale made very little sense and many things were left unexplained, but who cares when your mechas are shooting fabulous rainbows and you have TTGL world-saving-punch fight enders? Bakuman 25: Yeah! They got serialized. Not much happened in this episode besides the trademark waiting for results, but it was a nice season finale to see that Takagi and Mashiro finally got serialized. Also, Mashiro and Miho finally talk to each other for the first time... over the phone. I liked Bakuman in its first few episodes because it seemed fresh and creative, but it really started to get dull for a long time in the middle when basically the same thing happened over and over and the focus of the show was on the two main characters' love relationship drama. However, the show really started to pick up again after the other mangaka were introduced and brought something new to the table. For this reason, I'll look forward to the second season and hope that it can stay interesting. edit: Nichijou 1: What did I just watch? I mean that in a good way. This show is just a compilation of random happenings and that's what makes it good. Super explosions, students riding goats to school, and projectile shooting toes are only a few of the things that are in this episode. Admittedly, I don't understand many of the Japanese references used in jokes, but a lot of the absurd stuff is still funny. The scene transitions and animation shorts were also pretty out there. The android and the professor are probably my favorite characters so far. Hanasaku Iroha 1: Granny slapped It's only been one episode, but I already really like the personality of the main character. The animation in the show is excellent and the rest of the characters introduced so far seem interesting. This definitely has potential. Currently Airing Anime - Sn1perJohnE - 2011-04-03 IS - 12 - On one side, I thought this was an ok episode, and then on the other side, I pineappleing saw half this fight in the very first episode. Overall for the series its ok, but not really worth too much. Babypenis - 11 - Ok, at the advent of the new opening, I felt something was going to be different in this episode, but more on that later. The episode itself was ok, and gave a bit on how the baddies feel and such. There was also a new ending, which I liked, since it had Hilda and the other girl, as well as some random pink haired girl. Now, for the difference. There was not a single baby penis to be had in the whole episode. Shocking, I know. X-Men - 1 - Pretty interesting, I was looking forward to this one over the other two comic-turned-animes that came before. Really liked that they went right with Jean overpowering and killing herself, it seemed to connect it to the X-Men universe well. My only gripe is with Scotts overly "anime antagonist" look, but it isnt that bad. Gotta see more for how the story will be. One thing I noted for sure, was that they are definitely aiming for this to be localized here in the US, or at least the look and feel suggests it. Star Driver - 25 - Wow. Really, all I can say is wow. This is easily one of the best shows (overall quality and captivating story wise) I have seen. This ending was just plain awesome. I was half shocked when he broke Zero Time, but that just made it even more awesome. So I say, pineapple the haters, this was truly and awesome anime. Hanasaku Iroha - 1 - Its a hard knock life, for us. Nah, it just reminded me of that movie. Needa see more, but dam that Granny is a hella peach. Nana to Kaoru - OVA 1 - Its basically porn. No really, its basically a soft core S&M porn. Which just makes the opening credits of "This is a story of love, and friendship" very funny. Nichijou - 1 - pineapple yeah! Ive found my replacement for Arakawa Under the Bridge. This is what the pineappleery of a high class. 2010 Young Animator Training Project - Wardrobe Dwellers - Eh, not my type of story, still nice though. GoSick - 11 - Nice filler episode, specially since it brings some back story to Grevil. Currently Airing Anime - JoeTang - 2011-04-04 Gosick 11: Interesting story. Sure is douchebag in here. Nana to Kaoru 01: Not as good as the manga. Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Matsuri 02: I found this episode rather entertaining, but it's definitely lost some of the charm I felt from season 1. Not sure what to expect for next season. Nichijou 00 & 01: Hakase is so adorable :3 Pretty fun show. Kouchou-sensei is playing a kouchou-sensei. <___< Oretachi ni Tsubasa wa nai 01: What the pineapple did I just watch. Never have I seen anything that has made as little sense, nor have I been as annoyed by the seiyuu as this. Nothing about this show made any sense. If I hadn't read a summary of the plot and the genres, I wouldn't know what it was about at all. Alice had some nice panties though. Would not recommend this to anyone. Hanasaku Iroha 01: Very well done with everything, and the cast has my heart melting <3. Boy do I feel bad for Kouichi, though. Currently Airing Anime - madanthony - 2011-04-04 It's about that time of the season: I stopped watching Level E, Kore Wa Zombie, and Babypenis due to time constraints during my semester. Are any of these even the slightest bit above average and worth a marathon after finals? Currently Airing Anime - Shidoshi - 2011-04-05 madanthony Wrote:It's about that time of the season: Kore wa Zombie has varying opinions, I wouldn't say it's worth it. Haven't watched the others. Currently Airing Anime - PSAssassin - 2011-04-05 madanthony Wrote:It's about that time of the season: I would definitely recommend Level E. It was probably my second favorite the winter season next to Madoka. Level E 13: Epic troll on the troll What a great ending. First there's one twist, then that gets re-twisted, and then awesomeness ensues. Prince Baka and Princess Luna are really the most absurd and perfect couple for each other. The cat scene at the end just ties everything up perfectly. I really thought this was a fantastic series overall. It succeeds at being a comedy, but it where it really shines is in its storytelling. Each story varies dramatically from arc to arc, but they are all special and great in their own way and tie up together nicely in the end. The first and last arcs of the series were probably the best in my opinion, but each arc has its own unique style and content, which will probably make the show appeal to many different people. Steins;Gate 1: Mmm, bananas The style of this story is presented in is certainly a bit confusing, but that is the point of many stories based on time travel. Nothing much really happened, but the first episode managed to distinctly establish the personalities of its characters through their conversations with each other. I'm not too sure how I feel about the bland and faded background image the show is going for. I'll have to wait until the high quality TV release or more episodes to decide. Currently Airing Anime - Sn1perJohnE - 2011-04-05 Oretachi ni Tsubasa wa nai - 1 - Wat.Random stories, and then theres an even randomer episode preview, which takes everything out of the setting it just introduced. Imma have to see about this one, but this scene was funny;
Currently Airing Anime - Sn1perJohnE - 2011-04-05 ~sorry, was trying to fix the image in the post above.~ Currently Airing Anime - Alex123123 - 2011-04-05 ^lol'd To aru Majutsu no Index - Ep. 24: Decent ending. Preachy Touma still irritates me though. Why the hell did I watch this when I hate the protagonist? Oh yeah, secondary characters. Derp. Nana to Koaru - Ep. 1: Ugh... what did they just do to Kaoru. He doesn't come off as anything other than a serial rapist. Note: Character presentation is really important. Currently Airing Anime - Dyxanije - 2011-04-06 Hanasaku Iroha 01: I had no idea who the voice actors were going to be for this show, so it was a pleasant surprise to hear a lot of my favorite voice actors. I'm really looking forward to more. Currently Airing Anime - Sn1perJohnE - 2011-04-06 Level E - 13 - Hahahaha oh wow. Prince Baka got trolled, thats awesome. Even more awesome was how thorough the plan was. I think I might miss this one. Currently Airing Anime - Hanabira.Kage - 2011-04-06 Dyxanije Wrote:Hanasaku Iroha 01: Same here. I was listening to Ohana-chan going on and on about stuff, and I was thinking "this voice sounds so familiar...Amu...?"
So I went to check it out and sure enough, Itou Kanae voices Ohana. XD Currently Airing Anime - PSAssassin - 2011-04-07 Kaiji 1: Well, I managed to finish the first season right before this season began airing. I liked the first two arcs about the restricted rock, paper, scissors and the bridge crossing, but I thought it got kind of boring at the E card and lottery arcs. A big problem I had with the first season was that each arc seemed to drag on for too many episodes, like one whole episode would be Kaiji revealing one card from his hand. I have to say this was a good first episode. Seeing Kaiji's psyche break down in the presence of all the food and beer was really gripping to watch. I just hope the dice game that they're going to be playing doesn't drag on like E card did from the first season. Tiger & Bunny 1: When I first heard that this would be a super hero show where the heroes wore company brand names as advertisements on their suits, I automatically dismissed it. But wow, I really like the setup and ideas that came from just this first episode. The commercialization of super heroes, turning their heroic actions and the capturing of criminals into nothing but entertainment and a source of revenue, deep stuff. The contrast between the old and new generation of heroes and the reality of their normal lives are also interesting points that this episode brings up. I can't wait for more. Currently Airing Anime - Sn1perJohnE - 2011-04-07 2010 Young Animator Training Project - Super Veggie Torracman - Really really liked this one. The animation was really nice, and it had a very interesting plot device in it. This one and Kizuna Ichigeki are easily my favorites. Sket Dance - 1 - Wasnt sure before going by the description, but I think imma like this one. Freezing - 12 - Decent ending, coulda been better, but coulda been a lot worse. Possibility for a second season/OVA's with story? Very high with that ending. Morita-san wa Makuchi - OVA 1 - Ok, lets see here. We have a bunch of lesbian girls, a soulless-eyed girl who wont talk, and frozen squids. It would have been better if it were funny. Currently Airing Anime - JoeTang - 2011-04-08 Freezing 12: Oh god that was hilarious. How to show a peach who's boss 101. Smash her face into the wall like that. Cut off both arms. Have casual conversation. Fucking awful show. Steins;Gate 01: afk, microwaving a banana. Episode was pretty bad as expected from 5pb/nitro+. Never makes sense at first, probably won't make much more sense later on because it will be a general VN adaptation gone terribly wrong. But wow, Sakakibara Yui doesn't fail to deliver. <3 Phantasm <3 Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? 12: Songs weren't that great. Good enough episode though for a nice fan service end. Could have used more Eu talking though. Yumekui Merry 13: BELIEVE IN THE ME WHO BELIEVES IN YOU. God. JC Staff is fucking terrible. At least SHAFT says they'll delay the episode when pomegranate gets that bad. Overall, Iijima was a boss. Too bad they weren't smart enough to just kill him in the first place. Can't wait til season two. Hopefully, JC Staff puts a bit more effort too. A CHANNEL FUCKING WHERE Currently Airing Anime - Sn1perJohnE - 2011-04-08 Yumekui Merry - 13 - Ended with an unfinished story :c\ but the arc that it ended at least ended nice. I was totally waiting for Merry to bust out the keys like she did on Play :c| DREAMING IS BELIEVING!!! It's nice to see the build up behind a move and the thought process of a character, but they stretch it so long. Currently Airing Anime - Sorien - 2011-04-08 Yumekui Merry ep.12 - Yumeji reminded me of Shiro from Fate/Stay Night in this episode. Pretty good end to the season, but now I have to go read the manga because I don't want to wait for season 2! |
