I'm curious what your build will look like at level 60. Mind showing me? I don't see much point in 50 builds unless you don't plan on playing past 50. Also helps me know what your master plan is. Not really. Swatter is for Dark builds. At level 1/low levels, Swatter is for utility and not damage (combo extending, "keep away," etc). If you want Swatter for damage, you need to be maxing it. If it's not maxed, its damage will become lackluster in later dungeons. If you want it for its utility (which is mainly in PvP) in non-Dark builds, just leave it at level 1. Probably not, unless like Felix said you want 1 as a combo extender in pvp. Swatter is fixed damage so you need to max it to keep the damage relevant but this seems a waste without befriend, since it'll fail a lot and you'll be summoning a lot of Hunters. At level 13, its Blinding level will become much worse in later dungeons. And Manteau is not a good skill for damage, period. If you can't max it, I would leave it at level 3 simply for the grab/gathering utility. The points would be better spent in Death Dust. Why do you like Lucky Feeling? I'm all for getting it if you really like it, but I'm curious why you seem sold on it. I've always been skeptical and think the points are better spent elsewhere. Much how I feel about Lollipop. If you need more points for Fusion Craft, don't gimp Swatter at all. Don't lower your main damaging skills. Even if 1 level doesn't seem like much. You should also consider Quick Rebound. It's 10 points. I was wary on its usefulness at first, but it's really proven to be incredible. It saves you from a lot of damage in crazy situations. I can't count the times it's saved me from a Mecha Tau lightning blast (which is serious damage). Don't feel like doing Labyrinth and I dislike Frostfield. Increased chances of sleeper success is worth it right? I do see your point as kinda useless because it comes in late in the game. I don't know how much 6% gives in the grand scheme of things so I'll keep that open for now. I wish this class is as straightforward as a Nenmaster lol. At level 20 I was all like "yay i needa get backstep or i'll go crazy" so I just got both backstep and the cancel without thinking. I just realized I don't need the cancel when I was browsing the Witch thread on source, and that was way later. It's gotten a few uses, I just backstep when I whiff an aerial sweep and X on the ground instead, but that's no 70 SP. If we don't get a reset with the Witch patch then it'll stay, but if we do I can take it out and have 706 SP for maxed Craft, Mana Shield, and Ancient Memory. I'll probably pass on Lucky Feeling, although I need the full description of the skill to make the call (can't find it anywhere since it's not in the data). Only activates on sleeper and is timed. Wonder if you can set off a chain of sleepers though. I was able to full clear Shallow King's including beating up Sewer Princess Faris token-less, something I've never been able to do. Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - mrcowcow - 2010-04-16 Do the flashes when you land critical hits annoy you guys? I'm starting to use my cube skills like Wild Shot and Moving Shot as my main reliable sources of damage; in conjunction with Death By Revolver, all those red flashes and skull exploding animations are starting to make my eyes hurt just going through one dungeon. Anyone else have the same problem as me? Anyone else have the same problem as me? If you're having problems with it, I'd suggest going //window and placing it on one side of your screen with something else on the other side. Whenever you go and pull a Wild Shot or something that blasts crits, look over to the other spot. I found that videos work well with this. |
