What you think about PvP so far? - Marksman Bryan - 2011-08-01

I need 1800 more BP to be able to forge my 130 shoulder (when I find the recipe, that is.......)
There is literally no one in Bello that PvPs, and the few people that do are hacking. Ice Knight was actually sort of fun compared to FFA and team, but now I'm just disappointed. I can't even do my Ice Knight 500 quest now.

I don't really see hackers as a big deal. If the ice knight hacks (no delay normal attack), just stay away from him and attack. If you can't, leave. If some other dude hacks, well that sucks join another game.

problem is when you can't join another game, because it will also have a hacker

And i'm sure in scania that's a huge problem. Not in khaini though. :/

Yeah, when everyone leaves rooms with a hacker in it - the hacker ends up joining the next room created as well. Most of the time there's only 1 "waiting for players" lobby on Bera (shared across all 19 channels) so the hacker joins that one too, and can't be kicked. The more the hackers are taking up every room, the more people flock to the other versions - and the hackers simply take over Ice Knight mode.

I've seen the same hacker in about 1/3 of the games I've played on Bera... which is quite ridiculous. No way to report them either cause you can't actually click other players during PvP, and they're always inside PvP.

I think making it work more like other game lobbies, where the first person in is the "owner", and can kick/block people, would mostly solve the issue of hackers. It would also create some rooms where the leader goes "kick kick kick" to anyone who is beating them, but the majority of players could find a space to PvP.

stereo covered it pretty well, add to that that i play at night, when less people are on, and i basically run into the same guy every match, or end up in permawaiting.

The problem with hackers being in the game is that if you exit, you won't receive any BP or EXP for your time there. So it's just wasted time for no good reason.

You get BP.
Just not exp.
I try to leave early if there're hackers.
If someone's doing nodelay, it's easy to spot, and I just leave or chill at the safezone.

You can report the hackers in PvP/Ice Knight using the small Red Alarm Icon :3

we should spread awareness of that button, not like it will do anything, but hopefully it will scare the weaker ones.

I use that to check if there's a hacker in the room (I have a few names on a memo) before the game starts.

Yea at first it was lag,

then it was cool,

Now its hackers.

Those are the 3 pvp phases so far.

U know... if nexon would just hire even 1 good in game gm.... he would probably ban like 100 hackers instantly right off the bat.

But no... they are too cheap to hire someone but rather pay for some stupid program that 10 year old kids can bypass.

Wheres the logic in that?

While I wouldn't really call the PVP fun, it still is a whole lot better than grinding the event character I'm working on right now.

Hackers are far too present in Windia as well in the evenings. Hell, a couple rounds several hackers were talking to each other about changing the delay rates so that people wouldn't leave and comparing their rates. Haven't looked into it, but I'd assume that means all those talking were hacking as well. I mean, it's pathetic when you keep running into maps with 3+ hackers each round. Botting outside doesn't help either and that event deadline is drawing near...

It almost feels like the non-hackers are outnumbered here and the only way to "win" is to intentionally band together to halt games to a draw by leaving.

I've yet to see a hacker in PvP. Though I only play a few games a day now to do the ice knight quest.

I rarely log on(1-2 times a week) and when I go on to PvP, I see No Delayers ruining the match. It is funny to take them out, but they manage to one up me by taking out another innocent just trying to PvP.

^ I always lol @them because there are indeed some no delay hackers that after 10minutes get 9 points. Why the hell would you hack on a PvP match if you are gonna get such a low number of points LOL. I have only seen 2 hackers that got a lot of points. I haven't PvPed in a while though.

There are some that I think might be afk with a program moving them around in a very predictable pattern. There was a Dual Blade using No-Delay Phantom Blow, but he only moved back and fourth on the top platform of the Gold Richie map; thus, everyone was able to dodge him, get behind him, and destroy him.

What I hate is the hackers who keep dcing the ice knight after 30-40 secs without any particular reason... They're all over the place in bello and I even got called one myself. No way to even finish a game...

This just happened to me.

I believe this is just lagging up the client with too many attacks, since the Ice Knight has so much HP, it doesn't immediately die when they do it like in FFA/Team. The more successful hackers seem to be pausing every couple seconds so the IK doesn't DC.
