Shoes are item buttons now. Tunics, swords and shields aren't, but how often do you need to switch them really?

I seem to be getting lost/confused every 10 minutes of gameplay where I have to look at a walkthrough to see where to go next..

I try and only look at the guide for the one part I'm up to so I don't spoil the entire game :/

So far I had to check a guide for the Meeting Zelda.. Lost Woods.. Chickens.. Goron City..

You should play the very original Legend of Zelda. xD

Playing the 3DS version of OoT made me realize how long I haven't played N64 OoT. I'm having trouble remembering a lot of Heart Piece and Gold Skulltula locations lol

Zelda 3D was one of the first titles that nintendo mentioned for the "3D classics" thing they pulled with excitebike.
Not that the game is that good anyway. You seriously get no hints and would need a guide, at least on how to open some of the dungeons. Unless you like bombing every wall in the entire game. And thats assuming you even realise thats worth doing, since the game never suggests doing it.

Really? I honestly think you're doing it wrong. Put the guide away and wander about and talk to the npcs, saria, navi or the shiekah stones. I don't see how you could possibly be enjoying it if you need to be told exactly how to do everything every step of the way.

I know for a fact I had more fun when I was working everything out myself :/

That's the way Punch lives his whole life, unfortunately.

Anddddddddd if anyone from the uk wants any of ubisofts launch lineup 3ds games, http://www.bee.com has rayman 2 for £8, and Ghost recon, Asphault 3d and splinter cell for £10 each. Never ordered from them (and frankly, slightly annoyed that I paid so much more for ghost recon and rayman), but I recommend ghost recon quite highly if you like fire emblem or advance wars.

What kind of casual are you? I bet you're the same kind of guy who complained the original Metroid had no map, and quickly gave up afterwards. Know what we did in those days? We got some damn graph paper and made our own maps.

I remember playing the first Zelda as a tyke. Yeah, most of the puzzles are ambiguous as hell, but it's one of those games you gotta really work at.

Going to completely pretend Punch never posted. Good lord.

Just finished the game on regular (still missing 5 Heart Pieces, ~35 Skulltulas and the Ice Arrows) and decided to start a Master Quest save. Fun fact: regular and master quest both have their own 3 save slots.

Ok im using the guide on ZeldaDungeon to help me. Did not know you could roll into boxes to break them..

3DS discussion with Tokyo Gameshow Tidbits: Ace Vs. Layton - Sarah - 2011-06-22

Oh wow, that is the worst possible thing they overlooked. I remember it being an issue back in the day but there's no god damn excuse for it now.

After you beat the game, if you load up your save file... it loads up from the last time you saved, not some post-game or "sent back to before I beat the final dungeon" situation. I hadn't saved since before beating Twinrova when I beat it. Just loaded it up and lost SO MUCH STUFF. pineapple that. Probably never going to play this again because that's such a huge fucking oversight on their part.

I have a feeling they didn't honestly do much with the game files, I wouldn't be surprised if it's simply a texture pack put into the game with a couple added/changed mechanics because of it being on a handheld.

As much as that was uncalled for, that was creative.. kudos.

Simple things like when the Goron tells me I have to show proof that the Royal Family sent me and I pull out the invitation and nothing happens..
Then I play Saria's Song because the Goron said that's what big brother likes.. and nothing happens..
Then I look at a guide after exploring the entire Goron City and not knowing what to do..
"Play Zelda's Song"

-_- that's something you wouldn't think of.. it makes sense but they could've hinted that more..
Soo yeah, shush. Game is still fun.

o.o

But... Zelda's Lullaby = The song passed down through the Royal Family.

What is the invitation even for anyway? Later in the game? Everywhere i expect to use it right now you have to use Zeldas Lullaby instead.

And the redead scream is freaky D: But at least i froze one with that Sun Song to get a heart piece Smile

The invitation is to get up to Goron Mountain.

...you're not gonna get far into the game if you don't realise that Zelda's Lullaby = every time you see the royal symbol (triforce). It's used a lot in the game.
