I just said CGs to illustrate that you can hit anything you want. That and their damage is still pretty high and they lock. Alright, thanks. She should get to 120 in a lil more than a day then. Separate question: Mana Reflection, Holy Shield, Bahamut. Which is least useless around 15x? [note this is about "what order should I max this crap in] Ask a Magician Thread. - Morgana - 2009-09-28 Lol, hi Kat. ![]() MW20 is about 170mil? in Bera right now. It varies according to the HT group and the day... I managed to get one off Basil for 100mil a while ago. I think someone had bought two and then passed the first one or something. Uh, Mana Reflection is almost completely useless. Does very little damage, especially because we have ER. Holy Shield is for party bossing, Bahamut is more for solo bossing. I'm not sure myself, but I think I'm going to get a decent Bahamut to help me with my Dojo and Pap-soloing. Holy Shield seems silly until you get it pretty high. The cooldown is 2 minutes regardless of the skill level, and it only lasts 40 seconds at max. And it's 30 SP. On the other hand, I maxed Dragon, so Bahamut isn't going to beat Dragon until level 15+, since Bahamut has low mastery at low levels. [note this is about "what order should I max this crap in]Bahamut should be maxed first, unless you go to Horn Tail or even Zakum every week, where Holy Shield would be somewhat useful. Mana Reflect is part of the "trifecta of crap" with big bang and infinity, and shouldn't be touched until around lvl 17X+. Ask a Magician Thread. - Dusk - 2009-10-19 ArbalistMaster Wrote:about how much magic is needed to 100% ohko skeles with gen 30? The usual number given is 1280-1300ish depending on INT. Ask a Magician Thread. - DarkAbyzz54 - 2009-10-20 I've read and seen around 1295 is when you can 100% OHKO all Skeles with gene 30. Right now i'm at around 1275ish (With a 20 matk pot) and i'm 95% OHKOing them all, so I think it sounds right. I'm regular luck, just to point out. Also, I know that this is late, but I use Holy Shield every time I HT and it can be a life saver. It helps especially during mass seduce so you won't get sealed while trying to keep your party alive. I've noticed that when you are affected by a status effect, it takes a few seconds before it shows up in the chat box and above your head even though the effect still takes place before so, throwing off your timing in many things. x_x It helps a little at Zakum as well. I using it during magical defense up on your party allows them to continue to attack without worrying about using all cure or waiting for you to dispel. Anyways, right now I'm lvl 183 and I'm stuck on the last few skills: Big Bang, Mana Reflection, and Infinity. my Big Bang is at 15, and Mana Reflection and Infinity are both at 2. I'm confused on what I want to max after I max Big Bang :\ should I even continue to max Big Bang? Both MR and infinity both are....pretty much obsolete to me. But which one is better in the long run? Or would it be best if I maxed Door? For reference, if needed, MW is at 19, and all of my other skills are maxed (4th job). Door is at 10, SD is maxed, Doom 17 and every 2nd job skill except HA is maxed. I also have 10 SP saved, just in case some sort of miracle happens and Bello starts to kill pink bean. >.> MW 30 ftw? Ask a Magician Thread. - Kevo - 2009-10-20 I had 1296 magic at one point in time, and I couldn't 100% kill Skeles. Maybe 1 in every 500? 1297 is my guess. Ask a Magician Thread. - BTMachinez - 2009-10-24 First mage I ever made is my cygnus BW. As I approach lvl 110 I'm looking at my mp (currently 9500 at lvl 90). Meteor at max takes 3k and with max amp that would be 6k o.0 leaving you scarily close to death after each cast. Are any BWs having problems training at newts/skeles at lvl 110? I'd think it be very annoying having to make sure ur hp/mp is max before and after every meteor u cast. How have others done? =) Ask a Magician Thread. - Dyxanije - 2009-10-24 BTMachinez Wrote:First mage I ever made is my cygnus BW. As I approach lvl 110 I'm looking at my mp (currently 9500 at lvl 90). Jr. Newties are your best bet. All you need to do is make sure you have more than 6k mp per cast and pot right after you hit the Meteor button. I use Ginger Ales when training. If you went with Poison Breath you could try doing Death Teddies. Otherwise, if you went with Fire Arrow (and you are not a Blaze Wizard) you could try doing either Grupins or Ghost Pirates (depends on your magic attack, mostly). Ask a Magician Thread. - Chameleonic - 2009-10-31 I have a lv 60 I/L with 61 Luk(bolt/beam max, medi 19,eater/tele5 and 0 slow) and a Lukless lv 54 Cleric. Which will get to lv 200 faster and be cheaper to train if I only play for an hour or 2 a day? Which should I continue? Or should I start a F/P? I cant seem to find a class I enjoy playing, everything seems to level so slowly and require so much meso/nx nowdays...making a mage semes like the thing to do as one can leech other chars off them(well until they nerf the party exp). If your only concern is quick and cheap leveling, bishop. I'd recommend just directly creating the class that you feel will be fun though. The earlier levels would probably be enjoyable, and you'll get a better impression of the class. Only use SP on genesis if you can increase your consistency of killing a certain monster of interest in one less hit. That depends on what monsters you want to train on and how much magic/int you have though. Basically, what Cyanne said. I would add Gen until you can 100% 3hko Skeles, unless you are far away from that goal or are already there. Then add points to Gen when you can 100% 2hko with somewhere between level 15 and level 20 Gen. I don't know about Newts since I never really trained there. However, I would recommend finding or making a damage calculator so you can make these decisions rationally, playing with the numbers before you decide. This will help you know how many points to save, as well. That said, I'd go for some other skills before I'd go for Baha... Do you boss at all? I'd get 1 Res right away, regardless. Since I often boss in parties where the DrK is Zerking, I found that Angel Ray was a lot better damage upgrade for me than Bahamut. However, I maxed Dragon, and I don't use summons in training because they aggro the Skeles and get me lasered, wasting pots. Your mileage may vary. By around 140, most bishops I know have 1 Res, max or near-max Angel Ray, level 15-20 Genesis, and 9 or 19 MW. Most of us then max Res, and then put points in Bahamut and Holy Shield.
