Actually, now that you mention it... No ultimate leeching No PG leeching No tempest leeching No heaven's hammer leeching No hitting monsters higher than your own level ... Haven't they effectively removed leech from the game? Why not get the 60:40 formula back? o_O Eh, attackers will still get most of the EXP from bosses, but for training (specially for poor clerics and priests) it would help a lot... I can't even think where the hell they level in KMS with no Masteria, Zipangu or Singapore undeads... Unless they're afraid of, uh... having someone leech harps with a Bishop Big Banging as fast as possible the whole map... but then again... wouldn't training be more effective than that anyway? With all the skill changes, can anyone think on an effective way to leech? Fiel Wrote:I think it's a very scary, bad idea. It'd be great for some bosses, like Zakum. But for bosses that can cast zombify (CHT, CZak, PB), you'd be screwing over your own party members. Let's hope, though, that the new HP increases for everyone makes it so heal is less of a requirement for bossing and more of a nice thing to have. Good challenge, a double edged weapon. You just learn when not to cast Regen, just like you learn when not to Heal. Since this is Maple it could probably work like a buff too, which you can disable with a right click. Ever avoided seduce death at DrPQ by right clicking the soaring buff? I mean, as a last resort. I just had the Regen idea since it would let Bishops do freaking something (with Big Bang they might be marginally useful at boss runs, mmm 50k semi spammable skill) else at bosses besides spamming Heal/Dispel and the very rare Holy Shield. I don't think Regen is overpowered if it heals just a little HP (1/4?), but in some cases maybe enough to keep someone alive. Oh pomegranate, Zakum stunned me, hey I'm still healing my party a little. Oh pomegranate, Targar made me flash jump across the map, my party is still getting healed a little while I go back. Oh man, sticking to my friend at ToT just healing sucks for exp, I'll just buff and Regen him and go kill some by myself. Heal is still better, but Regen is more handy :O~ it's not that much of a weird idea, Evans got a similar Regen skill, but for MP right? I don't know, it seems just that past 3rd job in training scenarios all we're good for is for HS and Bless. I've also said in other threads that Arch Mages are lacking something else... all magicians got is stunning teleport and 5 hit Big Bang... while other classes get hax new delays, buffed damage, new attacks, new buffs... If there is another patch, it should focus on magicians and DrKs D: [1.2.323] (2) Moar Skill Balancing - JoeTang - 2010-07-05 Fiel Wrote:Easy to get. Scratch that. This thing is soooo huge.

Found my parser. ![]() Thanks a bunches. Hopefully this won't be used for evil. [1.2.323] (2) Moar Skill Balancing - Dusk - 2010-07-05 I think the old +20% for damage leader formula sucks. It's not just to prevent leech; it makes your kills count for something and makes you not have to worry as much about how fast your party members are killing. A better solution to the boss exp problem would be to severely reduce the exp that bosses give, and make the bulk of the exp come from an NPC as you leave the boss room. Maybe make Zakum's arms only give 250k exp each, the 3rd body give 1m, and the NPC reward everyone with 2.5m exp (maybe scaled up or down depending on your level relative to Zakum and maybe the size of the squad) after you beat it. This would discourage things like "arm runs," too. [1.2.323] (2) Moar Skill Balancing - Shidoshi - 2010-07-05 JoeTang Wrote:Scratch that. This thing is soooo huge. Seems like paralyze is 10ms faster now. With booster -2 it goes to 700ms instead of 720ms as before, chain lightning stays at 690ms (with booster). [1.2.323] (2) Moar Skill Balancing - Rigumaro - 2010-07-05 I always thought about the regen skill idea. It definitely would be useful. Also, I used to think about another skill that could be implemented: Zombify. Basically, you cast zombify on any monster, and then it takes damage from heal. Oh heck yes, I'd love for someone (not healers... it would not make sense lol) to have a skill that casts Zombify on a monster. Regen would so be lovely too, and I wonder why Maple never had this kind of skill as opposed to other MMOs (no, that puny skill you get as a beginner does not count). [1.2.323] (2) Moar Skill Balancing - Kalovale - 2010-07-05 braveslash - 840 What speed is this? 6? You have to round up the value to a multiple of 30, so no, it doesn't get any faster =[ [1.2.323] (2) Moar Skill Balancing - mamaloki - 2010-07-05 I have one question. The mastery for both axe/bw and sword weapon is combined into one skill. The attack of axe/bw is lower than sword. The speed of sword is generally higher. so what is the point of axe/bw? I think it make axe/bw really redundant....

Axes and Blunts have higher attack.... But yea, they're still useless now. Not that they weren't before. [1.2.323] (2) Moar Skill Balancing - Seanny - 2010-07-05 Maybe the weakness was intentional. Due to the inferiority the price compared to sword will always be lower. So both classes will always have a more accessible weapon to scroll should sword be too costly. Edit: On that note, are they ever going to balance scrolls themselves? Never really did like how the same amount of luck gave certain weapons a greater benefit than others cause 5 more weapon attack is more godlier on lower att classes. [1.2.323] (2) Moar Skill Balancing - Bribery - 2010-07-05 "rapidfire 60" wat. Wasn't it 120 ms before? At 60 ms it's double the original speed. 1000 shots/minute. :f6: [1.2.323] (2) Moar Skill Balancing - Hazzy - 2010-07-05 So the one ranged class without any kind of "infinite ammo" buff now shoots the most ammo per second? (17 a second... holy jesus) [1.2.323] (2) Moar Skill Balancing - Bribery - 2010-07-05 What are the speeds on Hurricane/Wild Shot and Ultimate Strafe? I didn't see them in that list. Maybe Hurricane also got a speed boost (assuming that Rapid Fire's isn't a typo/glitch). (17 a second... holy jesus) Hey, that's interesting. The skill that's more powerful is the one that drains ammo faster. They'll have to choose between cannon and rapid fire depending on bullets left, I guess. [1.2.323] (2) Moar Skill Balancing - Dusk - 2010-07-05 You can't rely on skill delays to tell you everything. Those are just names for the character animations that accompany the skills. A lot of skils use "alert" animations (which can be cancelled on ropes, hence why some buffs are faster on rorpes) and other things to slow them down. Just about every archer skill uses the standard "shoot" animation, so I assume Ultimate Strafe does the same. I dunno why there isn't anything like "stormofarrows" on there, though.
