Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Thugnificent - 2015-01-09

So I finally get Smash for wii u and I have to say classic can be pretty punishing. I've yet to beat it past 8.0 on the scale, mostly due to the fact that the "tabuu-esque" encounter is pretty frustrating for me. Ike just cant handle being pummeled around and randomly sent flying deep into a corner, even when he has that custom angled aether(which sometimes causes a lot of SDs). Also, I went online to have a few 1v1 matches and at first I ended up getting stomped by this insanely fast ZSS that I could barely hit. I only ko'ed them once out the 3 matches...no excuses I had my ass handed to me ahaha. I just wish that Ike's fastest air move wasn't so tricky to land.

Overall, still just as fun as the past games. I just kind of miss adventure or subspace, but at least the online features work well.

Great finisher!! I did not know you could pick up the broken tome and throw it, and I'm willing to bet that guy didn't either. lol

If you're new, then yeah. That's gonna happen, no matter what. Give it some time. Once you do take that time, you do tend to learn. For instance, I personally had trouble against Master Core, since I'm a 100% completionist retard, but... Since there so existed the imfamous 'Clear class on 9.0 intensity without losing a single life' achievement which you cannot hammer, I just decided to learn. And the only way to learn is to try, try, and try some more. Sure enough, I got it. Eventually, but still :]

against master core, counter is godly. my big problem is lucario is pomegranate without some damage on him, and by that point danger zones in master fortress are hell. best i've managed is 8.5 but i haven't played much.

and that amiboo looks pretty neatly worked.

This is a pretty interesting theory, which makes sense in my opinion Tongue

That's a little scary, actually. Not that Sakurai actually feels that way towards Smash; it's been more than apparent through interviews and whatnot. But the symbolism in the games he's subtly expressed... I had no idea.

Pac-man! Megaman! Rayman! Pokemans! all the mans! (Bomberman next please)

Bomberman will never happen.

He's a konami character now, and they have a ridiculous amount of better choices. And they've basically abandonded the I.p. anyway, despite buying it.

There's zero chance he ever gets in, even if it's only because he'd have to pass over metal gear as a choice of konami rep, and lol if anyone really thinks that could ever happen.

Besides that, anything they could do with a bomberman moveset, they could just give to tingle, so there's really no point to him.

I was joking, but duly noted anyway Tongue

Also agreed about his moveset. As much as I'd dislike Tingle to get in a game like this, he has more to him than just dropping bombs everywhere like Bomberman, as evidenced by his crazy moveset in Hyrule Warriors.

So...who's Sakurai gonna drop kick now for these new rumors? this is already trending

Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Razmos - 2015-02-15

Apparently Ubisoft is going to make an official statement regarding the Rayman rumours on Tuesday, so.. that's something.

Nintendo should make Ubisoft release all their finished Wii U games before they allow Rayman in Smash.

That's an odd thing to say. If they were going to deny it, why not just do it immediately?... That's all but admitting it's real.

Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Razmos - 2015-02-15

Aaaaand the leaker has admitted it's fake.

All that effort just to fool people and be an pimento though, the absolute worst kind of nerd.
I think there are better ways to show off your skills than by playing around with people in such a way, but it's the internet I guess and you get more attention that way.

Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Remoir - 2015-02-15

his eyebrows looked too fucked up to be real anyway, at least i thought.

this is the only franchise i know that people get so fucking hyped and baited over possible new additions..

Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion - Justin - 2015-02-15

I figured it was fake despite the footage anyway.... what kind of "leaker" would just show a video of the character select screen and call it good? The lack of in game footage of rayman actually fighting and moving around was the big thing that should have raised a flag for everyone.

I think it was because if you had the volume more or less maxed out you could hear the "error sound" as if you couldn't actually select Rayman, and considering Nintendo has done stuff like this already with MK8 it made it rather plausible.
