The more hackers flood the market, the less possible it is for players to find valuable items through legit methods. Prices go down on items players have as well as items hackers are selling. You are confusing dupers with botters. This thread is about hackers making crazy-stat equips and duping them. They are not going to flood the market with anything. Botters are who make mesos and previously valuable items like scrolls and pieces-of-time near worthless. Anyway, I agree with happylight. Some of you guys are overreacting as happens whenever something like this comes up. Only a tiny percentage of players will be willing and able to pay $500 for a glove. For the average player, it is of no more concern that whatever Ferraris are currently selling for. The people who do buy this stuff keep to themselves (Birds of a feather stick together). I will never cross paths with them. What2doNexon - KhainiWest - 2012-01-06 CarrionCrow Wrote:Not to mention cubing to perfection gets so pointless only the most stupid of all idiots would do it. Every item will come with 32932 attack and be at unique already, duped and not netting Nexon a dime. From their standpoint as well as all from us who ever cubed anything, that is bad. Why the hell would I, or anybody for that matter, cube our full 140 sets to legendary when the stats we get out of it is a piss in the Nile compared to what will be common end game equips unless nexon acts? It leaves us to either join or leave. I will quit since I refuse to touch illegitimate crap like that. This has been my exact mind set since April of last year lol @above Did you purposely neglect my post because that's entirely the problem, they'll provide massive supply for equipment that makes everything else useless and worthless. Explain to me how I can sell my gear when I paid, not an exaggeration, 100x more for it than the NPC value it is now worth. Supply and demand, its basic people. Ignorance and keeping to one self is only going to carry so far. It is a bloody mmorpg and as such noone can escape. Especially not if one would like to enjoy the full content. You're implying these items have not and will not be sold to players that don't hack. You're implying these items will not stick around longer than the Familiar hack. You're implying these items are small enough in number to be basically nonexistent. You're implying these items will be cheap. You're implying LHC isn't already hacked 24/7 by that spawn rate thing, and that Future-land isn't vac'd 24/7 by botters. You're implying the funding hackers will get from selling these items won't fund them to do even more. You're implying somebody with these items can't "Adversely affect people's enjoyment of the game since they can't train." as they come in and KO your map with their overly-high damage. I could go on if you want. I not trying to be cruel, but you really aren't thinking *ahead*. If nexon came in and plugged up both hacks right now, which one would affect the game's community more? More level 200's, an achievement hit by people daily by abusing LHC hack even without the Familiar hack's help? Or items that will continue to plague whatever's left of the economy and player gear balance relative to other players? What2doNexon - CarrionCrow - 2012-01-06 I'm amazed that some people think an mmorpg will be fun if everybody runs around with the exact same gear, gotten the exact same way, with the exact same stats. And that is not even touching the cheat aspect of it. Not to mention a game without certain rules become a playground for retarded babies. It can probably be fun for a while, but it has absolutely no future as a profit generating game. Anarchy is only profitable for those that sell the weapons to the idiots. You're my long lost Khaini twin! I love you! What2doNexon - lorx - 2012-01-06 happylight I'm not going to bother arguing what an economy is to you, but I will say this: If you truly believe that you shouldn't care about the LHC spawn rate because it affects everybody in a good way, then A) you have never been there during x2, B) you should also not care about Familiar hacks since all they do is expedite the process, and C) You seem to have forgotten that proper pacing is important to a video game. I must admit, I laughed at the Justice speech though. For somebody complaining about how a specific hack is bad and should be dealt with, to then turn around and call somebody out for believing a different hack is also a problem, calling them misguided, is absolutely hilarious. Let's look at an example, people said the same thing when a 35 att vss was revealed and everyone was worrying about their 27 atts deflating on basilmarket. 27 att VSS awhile ago (these were selling faster than hotcakes btw): ![]() 35 att VSS today: ![]() So the players who spent 86,100 NX on the 27 att VSS now have their purchase deflated and will have to spend 86,100 more NX in order to keep up with those who have the 'new' 35 att VSS. This trend will just keep repeating itself. Quote:Only a tiny percentage of players will be willing and able to pay $500 for a glove. For the average player, it is of no more concern that whatever Ferraris are currently selling for. No, they won't remain at $500. People used to smega dragon mounts for 120-150k NX. Now they're struggling trying to sell them at 25-30k NX. =/ What2doNexon - CrazyForDex - 2012-01-06 @Above, and once the next wave comes out, they will have to upgrade again. Really hackers are almost worse than Nexon. We all know that Nexon likes to continually upgrade to the next tier of broken items so everyone has to buy lots of nx and upgrade, well the hackers are even worse. We know from Vlad that the hackers release the equips in waves, there is no way that you can say that this exploit does not negatively affect this game. It's pretty ignorant to claim it makes it better for everyone. It is blowing me away that people are acting like this is a good thing. Sure items become cheaper and everyone gets stronger, but that is not a legit way to become better at this game. Who wants everyone to get stronger? By that logic, everyone might as well just stay at the same place. Using the excuse that everyone can damage whore more easily should not make this exploit ok or percieved as benecifical/good for maplestory. The hackers get richer, everyone else pays the price. What happened to playing this game as it was meant to be played? It does affect you because it creates a standard, it's already shown they have a huge supply which creates a demand. Even if you don't buy it or associate with those people it will cause one big thing: Massive meso deflation. How much does a monster drop now? 200-500 mesos? Imagine trying to get 2.1b from just drops!. You know why? Because even if you made a perfect level 140 item, its worthless. People will be investing in the supply of godly gear they won't settle for less. Even if you DID fork over because you're not a damage freak and you want to be all mature and whatever, you might as well perma lock it because the resell value will be insignificant. Imagine trying to resell a perfect level 43 maple weapon. How much do you think you can get for that? Break even? haha good luck. What2doNexon - Rexy - 2012-01-06 It isn't like it matters to them, from what I know they easily make $10,000+/month together. There will ALWAYS be people who spend a pomegranate ton of USD for equips, and that is why they continue to do so. One of them have told me that they wouldn't be doing this if it didn't mean USD for them. What2doNexon - Untradeable - 2012-01-06 Well they're finally doing something. Hopefully this time it works better than last time (608s, 301s, etc) |
