The 1.5, you are right about. The ratio, you are dead wrong. I wrote a calculator yesterday that proves the ratio. I'll post a link to it when my cpanel account gets unlocked on my spare website. 60:40 is Chaos. 20:80 is Ascension (Tespia version). Here is a temporary link for it - Party Exp Calculator Here is the Exp distribution using my testing scenario if the ratio is 20:80. These numbers match my results in Tespia.

Here is the Exp distribution using my testing scenario if the ratio is 60:40 as you claim. These numbers do not match, but they do match what you would see in Chaos.

EDIT: I have been looking through old threads on Jump and everyone wants to call the Jump ratio 60/40. Nobody ever proves the numbers, though. Unless 60/40 refer to different source numbers, it simply cannot be correct. Tespia is now OPEN! - Dark Zero - 2011-09-28 As for Today 28 of September, Tespis is still open lol!! They prove that the current Exp ratio is 60:40:

Here is what 60:40 calculation produces (ignore the party bonus since I forgot to turn that on. The White number is the only thing that matters anyway):![]() If I am right, and Ascension gives us 20:80, then I expect this distribution to change to look as follows: ![]() I will add the screenshots in the morning. Tespia is now OPEN! - Kalovale - 2011-10-03 Wow... I'm starting to not believe myself anymore. Before Big Bang, we had what was called 60:40 at the time, namely 20% Damage-based, 80% Level-based. After Big Bang, we had what was called 80:20 at the time, namely 60% Damage-based, 40% Level-based, which "killed" leeching. Now, we're going back to what you suggest to be exactly what we'd had before: 60:40 or 20% damage-based and 80% party split. We cool? The two damned things were swapped around because people at the time cared more about how much EXP the leecher got, not how the EXP was technically distributed. I am disproving your assertion the ratio is 60:40. I have the screen shots to prove it. The ratio for Chaos is 60:40. The ratio for Ascension is 20:80. That's all there is to it. The problem that you, for some really bizarre reason until now, still don't get is that in Locked's sense, let me quote it for your convenience: Locked Wrote:Hey look. Exactly what I said! The 0.6 refers to the portion of EXP that a killer gets, as opposed to the remaining 40% that a leecher gets. If you can read and understand the example, stop for 10 seconds and do so. 20% distributed via damage dealt: 100% goes to killer, 0% goes to leecher 80% distributed via level: 50% goes to killer, 50% goes to leecher of the same level Total: Killer:60% - Leecher:40% Another example that's hopefully easier to follow: Total EXP from mob: 10000 Killer's EXP: (20% + 50%*80%)*10000*1.5 = 0.6*10000*1.5 = 6000*1.5 = 9000. That's why it's not the correct formula. If you change it for a party of 3 people, the killer gets only 54% (if all levels are equal). If you refer to the ratio as being Damage VS Party, then you will always have a correct calculation. This has always been a forum full of great mathematicians. Why is it that it would be common to use such an inferior and incomplete reference? Tespia is now OPEN! - Kalovale - 2011-10-03 Thorr Wrote:That is rue, but only for a party of 2 people. The primary hint for you to have arrived at that conclusion with would be the fact that it had been in use for over 3 years before Southperry was even created. That just makes SP members look even worse, or at best extremely lazy. Regardless, my calculator is accurate and uses the correct formula. That is what I needed to be sure of. It's not like anyone of us doesn't know what it essentially is, which, in my very humble opinion, is what matters. Naming is just a convention, who really cares? Just "The exp distribution system that we had before Big Bang" is sufficient for most, but I digress. Tespia is now OPEN! - Combattente - 2011-10-03 Ahem.
