The moon appearing so close and seemingly within the ''grid'' makes me think it's not a real moon but the entire area is within a dome with an artificial atmosphere of some sort, maybe to simulate their own planet. It can't be in space itself in my opinion since you also see clouds in the sky, so it's not like ''stars, moon, blackness, it's space'', also since I believe someone said we're being invaded or something? That would mean we can't be in space since that would mean -we're- invading -them-, not the other way around.
They could have set up an area on earth, like a base and/or city where they can live like they normally would without being detected while they secretly get ready for an attack on the rest of the planet.
That's what I think though.
Someone will probably point out flaws in it all though since admittedly I never once paid attention to the story surrounding Masteria whatsoever so I might be saying something that sounds totally ridiculous.

I dunno the "grid" lines aren't semetrical really at all to be a dome from what it looks like in my eyes.
My first thought when I saw those was tracers from spaceships shooting off or landing or even asteroid/comet style tracers.

I dont know why Nexon bothers with "Epic elaborate quest lines" as 99.9999% of Maplers wont even care to read it.
As I said before this new place looks like across between Neo Tokyo and Masteria. Some of those new creatures look like a windraider/voodoo cross. lol
There is also a Tower on the right, it could be the Affluent Tower already mentioned.
First thing I thought when I saw those people in the floating ships was that they will be gachapon chairs.

Has anyone thought that maybe since there's a second part of bigger ben we have not been to yet, that this could be the older section of the city that was built on top of? Bigger ben does lead downwards, and it could also explain the dome looking sky background. (though a moon in the sky hurts this idea)

Let us not forget the inhabitants of the krakian jungle should be plant creatures according to lore given from the quests, not aliens. We can almost rule out Versal because that should be a twisted mirror world, not some kind of high tech alien lair. If the creatures are aliens, it is not Krakia nor Versal. If they are mutated cybernetic plants, its Krakia.

I just figured out what the yellow ship and it's plates are for. The ship sends out a signal and controls the electric plates and the faded gears above them as if they were arms and hands. If it touches you you get an electric shock?

For one thing, this is nothing related to any of the original continents.
The other, you guys mean the Krakian Jungle extension, if so, this looks WAY too futuristic to be it, or it could be, as Nexon is, illogical.
This looks more like a cross between Magatia (looks at moon), Neo City (well, the futuristic thingies), and note Edelstein themed storyline? As in the Resistance to all this alien crap?
Anywho, looks very interesting to explore. Wonder how Nexon will come up with the story here.

After just deciding to finish the "finding jack" quest i'm led to believe this may well be olde sapp village, since if you follow the masteria storyline we had the HH, then crimsonwood forest, and finally crimsonwood keep. Since the versal grandmasters are trying to figure out crimsonhearts grave in mesogears, maybe that's going to be the portal leading to the next area, since that's where crimsonheart was born after all.

i have a few things to say about this. why are people saying it cant be krakia because its to futuristic? isn't the scientist that lives there supposed to be the same guy who fuses tech and life to make monsters like the holiday chickens o.o and wasn't the ancient masteria supposed to be a place that was highly advanced anyway? and also who says versal has to be this super futuristic place? maybe Ive forgotten a lot of stuff because i haven't read any quest stuff since cwk was release d but i thought that versal was just an alternate reality of the current maple world where its almost always night mushmom is strongest monster and bulrogs are like deities o.o
