Stop rushing it! That's my advice! Orientation was overwhelming for me, I threw up a few times the day before from nervousness then I had a hard time during it(mine was a 3day long event). Just relax and enjoy this summer! Once October hits and the welcome week honey moon phase is over you'll miss it!
I had an interesting day, my dad wanted me to give him stitches because I plan on going to med school but like, I can't really do that just yet. Cooked dinner, took the puppy on some walks, swam, and goofed around. Surgery tomorrow :x

No internet, again, posting from my phone. Laid in bed all day, cleaned up a little, thinking about taking action against my dad. A grown man that makes a really nice salary shouldn't have to constantly ask to borrow money from his son with a part time job.

This day...
1) Friend's dad was struck by lightning and killed instantly.
2) Had my stuff taken and I feel like pomegranate.
3) Got mind-fucked repeatedly.
4) My friends basically told me I'm all talk and no action.
5) I can't apply anything I learned to a real life situation.
6) I don't feel like I belong anywhere anymore. Nothing I try to do right seems to work.
7) My original thoughts and what I try to convince to people aren't being seen the way I intended it to be.
8) I want to give up, not because it's hard, but because I'm not sure if I can even achieve what I want anymore.
9) There's absolutely no one I can talk to right now who'll understand what I'm going through. The ones who truly can understand aren't going to give me straight up answers.
10) I'm tired of being considered someone who's a lower rank than another. Just because you have been a part of something longer doesn't give you the right to treat me and my friends like pomegranate. Neither does it give you the right to act like you know what the pineapple you're talking about. Because, honestly? You ain't pomegranate to me, you don't make a bit of sense sometimes, and you were in my position at one time before so you should be considerate.

Been in Toronto for almost a month now (I live in Cali) with my Fiance, who yes, I met on Maple. Just been enjoying all of our time together. I'm busy working from home, while she is at work. When she gets home we're watching Batman Begins, in anticipation for this weekend when we watch the new Batman movie thing. Happy.

My grandfather had to be taken to the hospital today. He's being observed and has been fitted with a breathing mask. The news made me progressively more depressed as the day went on, as well as being super busy at work.
A LOT of work needs to be done by the end of the week.. and it's only me doing the work, and i don't think i'll get it finished. I keep starting.. and then getting sent to do a different job, sorting out hectic orders or helping out when things get too busy. So now i'm really stressed because i don't like leaving a job unfinished, i don't want to feel like a failure since this is all resting on me... but it's simply too much for me to handle. I'm not used to being in charge of my department as well as having other things to do.

At last, done with field work, for now. Man, last month and a half were hellish and I still need to do my undergraduate research.
I've been exposed to the sun so much, it looks like i've darken 6 shades on my arms and face. Yes, I look like a raccoon, except not as cool. Ah well. I better sleep, that's one thing I've had a lack of lately. That and money.
