mp recovery
panic and coma are essentially useless with soul driver and you wont ever use them, therefore get mp recovery because you will essentially remove any mp pot costs.

I would max out Panic and Coma despite the fact that those skills would not be used often. Putting points - and maxing out - MP Recovery is just a waste. And heck, they're still nice skills, IMO.

i am doing/did almost the same as what ithrow mentioned. Maxed all but Fa(21) and am going to end up with all moves but the summon(1) and coma(5) maxed. Am leveling up mp recovery now(lvl 111) and will finish up FA next and then panic last. I see no reason for coma, but like you said will, its a nice skill even if driver is way better. I think as long as you max everything but mp/panic/coma you will be fine, the two you do pick to max are not going to make a difference.

Yeah, from around 80-85, you stop being able to 2hko stuff that you don't miss on.

At level 91, my DW averages 17200 x 4 vs. no def neutral targets, using a 94 atk Red Katana. Level 91 mobs only have 47k HP... so I'm overkilling by about 30% on average. (or almost 100% on holy stuff)

That depends. I would prefer using a sword with better damage overall at bossing since that's what I mainly did 110-120: Zarms 110-116. Would have done more but I was dcing/lagging so much, that I quit.

I used a Sparta since my main is a paladin and my shield gives 6% str. But seeing as the character is finished after 120, not much harm can be done pumping some dex other than a loss of damage until you hit 100 for the ST. NRW would be about the same, but takes 25 less dex to use and can be worn 10 levels earlier.

Also, about 1hko everything with soul driver: I did not 1hko everything with soul driver when they were my level. DGPs aren't holy-weak so they weren't 1hko...Monkeys (120) aren't either and I had 20% miss so another nope...captains weren't 1hko unless I hit them 3-4 times and had orbs fully charged. This was using a 117 att sparta and 6% str shield. Monkeys were fought with a 115 att Devil's Sunrise.

I'd say it depends how much you modify your AP... my DW would need to add 60 dex to get to 120 total, since I didn't buy it a Scar helm or anything (what with being a temporary char). With only 537 total str, that's about a 10% decrease in damage. Which is the same as the difference in damage between 1h and 2h.

If you can buy an X attack ST for cheaper than an X attack 1h sword & shield (sparta, probably) then you could go for it I guess.

If I go back to hunting mobs 10+ levels above me (either post-UA, or just deal with 50% miss) then I'll be back to 2hkoing with the Red Katana. Otherwise... DGPs only have 85k hp. I'll easily do that at 110 with Adv. Combo, and probably for a few levels beforehand also.

I still suggest just finding like a Red Katana in Leben Mine and just like 60% it since scrolls are cheap as dirt.

Or are they really only good for getting to Level 120 and earning that 24 Attack Blessing, after the UA patch?

Here's the dilemna: Since there's an unspoken DW bandwagoning going on right now, all the 1H and 2H Sword 60% scrolls I see in FM are all sold out. Not to mention, they are slowly inflating in price. Tongue 2m to 4m a piece ftw? /sarcasm

Though this is situation going on in my server, so I don't know if this is the same thing going on with other servers.

Just make it. Getting the 24 att Empress Buff + being your storage slave mule is worth it.

i am also on the DW bandwagon, what do you think of not maxing rage on second job? i mean, bless gives the same w.attk buff, and i can always use attack pots if i ever need to.
