Original Dragon Nest Thread - Kaasoljoyyx - 2012-01-12 TheTempest Wrote:I kind of want to make a Warrior as an alternate character, but I'm really undecided between Swordmaster (Glad/ML) and Mercenary (Barb/Dest). Here's some things I'm looking for: You want barbarian. The only thing on your list barbarian doesn't do is the last one, which is what moonlord is good at. Original Dragon Nest Thread - DrRusty - 2012-01-12 did I post this already? Here's one of the godliest barbarians in the game Here's some new stuff http://forum.cherrycredits.com/forum/topics/view/fresh-new-update-from-dn-kr-1-12-2012 kDN patch notes. Some notable ones are acros no longer being able to "fly" via showtime because spirit shot requires you to touch the ground again before the next use. Acros also get 30% damage buff on all of their skills (OHHH SNAP!!). Technique accessories no longer having a 30% chance to fail (works 100% of the time). I was most likely going tempest before, but now I'm definitely going tempest. That dodge thing is GODLY. Here's a video of tempest with the dodge in action Original Dragon Nest Thread - TheTempest - 2012-01-12 Thanks Kaasoljoyyx for the reply, guess I'm a go Merc. DrRusty Wrote:did I post this already? I'm assuming that he's using an axe/hammer and has a Sword NX cover? Original Dragon Nest Thread - Alilatias - 2012-01-12 TheTempest Wrote:I'm assuming that he's using an axe/hammer and has a Sword NX cover? I'm quite sure that's a mod. The same guy also has a ridiculous Inquisitor. On average, he does more damage with a single physical kick than I do with Detonate. ._. Original Dragon Nest Thread - DrRusty - 2012-01-12 He also has very good taste in music ![]() posting this here so I don't forget what I did. My updated LvL40 acro build to become Tempest http://dnarmory.com/skill-calc?i=2-15-40#PQjnW1M892-xxdSDS btw, I heard "windswept" on a weapon actually reduces a monster's crit resist. Is that true? I tried to test it out but it definitely didn't reduce it from my tests. Original Dragon Nest Thread - ShinkuDragon - 2012-01-12 DrRusty Wrote:He also has very good taste in music you need to get falling red swords on an enemy i think? haven't played in a while, can't remember :U Original Dragon Nest Thread - 案山子 - 2012-01-12 Kaasoljoyyx Wrote:You want barbarian. Though there is no difference between Moonlord and Gladiator, assuming you go hybrid with both of them. TheTempest Wrote:I'm assuming that he's using an axe/hammer and has a Sword NX cover? Barbarian = Axe, Destroyer = Hammer. Original Dragon Nest Thread - TheTempest - 2012-01-12 案山子 Wrote:I say I'll have to agree with this. Though there is no difference between Moonlord and Gladiator, assuming you go hybrid with both of them. I remember reading somewhere that it doesn't matter anymore what weapon you use as a Merc(Barb/Dest) because all their skills can be used with either weapon. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Kaasoljoyyx - 2012-01-12 TheTempest Wrote:I remember reading somewhere that it doesn't matter anymore what weapon you use as a Merc(Barb/Dest) because all their skills can be used with either weapon. Yes, it was changed. It's now more for preference except axe is usually preferred for PvE due to higher crit. @Rusty: The windswept bug doesn't make swords fall anymore so that part of the effect just doesn't happen. When it does happen, it drops the target's crit resist in half which is extremely helpful against things like bolty and dragon nests. Also the build you did looks fine. The only thing you might want to keep in mind is level 11 kick shot. In tempest videos, when you notice they have a string of black after images following them, that's kick shot EX. It lets you chase them farther. Pretty sure you'll enjoy tempest too since it's considered the god of PvP right now. Yeah, that's true, but they're still looked at the same way as before. That particular user in the video uses axes. Original Dragon Nest Thread - DrRusty - 2012-01-12 Kaasoljoyyx Wrote:Yes, it was changed. It's now more for preference except axe is usually preferred for PvE due to higher crit. I'm saying that I tested it out myself. I went to the ogre boss, used uncrafted helm + life giving chest + uncrafted axe + windswept gauntlet and noticed constant crit breaking like normal. I have 6k crit in that gear so If the ogre's crit resist was truly reduced I should have seen more crits. during my entire axe tornado duration I saw 1 crit happen. If that's what windswept is supposed to do then fine, but as of right now it's definitely not reducing crit resist. I don't think it matters much anyway. I went with a mercenary on apoc hell and his axe tornado basically 1hko bolty and took almost 3/4 of apocalypse. His gear was decent too, but it was definitely abusing balanced or destructive, I forgot which. Original Dragon Nest Thread - DrRusty - 2012-01-12 it's balanced. I have a +12 balance axe too and I can 1 shot most of the bosses pre-apoc OHH finally check this out http://dragonnest.nexon.net/community/forum#%2Fshowthread.php%3F184921%26p%3D1420104%26viewfull%3D1%23post1420104 Alteris confirms that the next update will fix weapon procs (whenever that is ). Still good new though. I can't wait to actually have my crafted weapons work!! Destructive axe + crit stacking + windswept gauntlet = GG

Original Dragon Nest Thread - DrRusty - 2012-01-13 you seriously died 16 times? lol Original Dragon Nest Thread - Flonne - 2012-01-13 DrRusty Wrote:you seriously died 16 times? lolYEP I dodged really well but every time I got hit I got staggered to death, even though I now have 27K HP, lol. Died once on second boss(es), twice on third, twice on fourth, and 11 on final. All of my skills are incredibly slow and rely on staggering, so yeah. Original Dragon Nest Thread - Mibs - 2012-01-13 Finally hit 40! Is it better to get a 20% damage or cooldown reduction plate for my Frozen Fury? Original Dragon Nest Thread - Kevin - 2012-01-13 ^ I have damage on, since I don't really spam it whenever it's off cd. Might replace it for something else later. Original Dragon Nest Thread - DrRusty - 2012-01-13 I'm using the ultimate damage crest because I use a balance axe and it amplifies the damage by an insane amount, but after the procs get fixed I'm going back to using bombs away. (circle swing, roll attack, whirlwind, bombs away) Original Dragon Nest Thread - DrRusty - 2012-01-14 Nexon - "hey guys we're giving you 100% exp because the servers were down" Players - "Yay!!" Nexon - "jk servers are down during 100% exp lulz" jus playin =P. They'll probably increase the duration of 100% exp allowing me to get my acro closer to 40. I was doing 100% exp all morning before work and got like 150% in 3 hours. |
