Dusk Wrote:Are the new dungeons any more interesting? I got kind of bored with this game after level 36ish. The Ice Drill thingy looks pretty awesome and I'm considering getting to 45 for that (I'm a Witch).

Mega Drill sucks. It's one of the most trash skills imaginable. It sucks to use, it sucks to look at and it even sucks when you somehow manage to Sleeper it (rarely). Garbage. It's my biggest regret on my Witch. Confirmed my decision to eventually get a reset on her.

And I've had my Summoner for quite a while. I didn't make it recently. lol She's just the third of my mages I decided to work on. She was sitting on level 20 waiting. When I get my Battle Mage caught up with my main girls, I'll be working on my Elementalist to complete my collection.

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Holypie - 2010-03-07

Mega Drill is best used with the level 50 Pink Pole which has an attack with a 3% chance of electrocuting proc. The multiple hits on mega drill will make you do insane damage with it, that's why people get mega drill. It's the same thing with Black Hole and Astral Storm, they're best used with that weapon.

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - FelixTM - 2010-03-07

Doesn't change how trash it is. I'm not gonna switch weapons just to use a stupid WACKY XD drill, which I can't stand using anyway. I'm upset I looked forward to getting it so much. I actually can't stand any of the high tier Witch skills, except Gravitas. They're all so LOL SO RANDOM and retarded. And what's worse is how they make you sitting ducks and can even be destroyed. SO STUPID. Yes, I'm mad. Witches' low and mid tier skills are vastly superior. I'm even considering excluding Gravitas from my future build so I don't have to deal with any high tier. I'll never stop loving my Witch, but it is really depressing how bad our high tier and Awakening skills are. Like, beyond bad.

Elementalists got way, way better skills. They know how to handle the elements seriously. No retarded wackiness and garbage as they get stronger.

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Holypie - 2010-03-07

Haha, a lot of people would disagree with you Felix, just look at any one of the several "What class should I be" threads in the mage section of DFOSource. Almost all of them decide to go witch because of all the people saying that witches are awesomely fun and elementalists are boring. But yeah, I agree with you, the skills are kind of... strange? But some the Elementalist Tier 3s leave you pretty open as well, like lightning strike and arctic burst.

You know what pisses me off? Guys who hang in the Basic arena in PvP and stay in there up until Glad 3-5. Such complete bullshit.

And I hate Mechs and Nens.

The feelings mutual, although why Nens? Thought Strikers or Grapplers were the ones that make you cry.

Cause all nens do is bring up their bubble and spam kamehameha. I can't even hit them. It's like trying to fight launchers that have close range attacks.

They're not staying there. They're glitching their way in. It's not even possible to get past Glad 2 fighting Vagabonds, a Glad 2 beating a Vagabond 10 gets 0 pvp exp. Just don't play with those losers who are so insecure that they go for the easy wins.

I wish some of my stuff would sell. I could use a cast speed hair and that kamaitachi(sp?) bowgun that adds +1 blazing bullet. I can't wait for auction house to come, unless greedy Nexon never gives it to us.

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - mrcowcow - 2010-03-08

I feel you LHC. On my 4x Spitfire, whenever I go PvP, (only in the practice ch), I get absolutely STEAMROLLED over since I don't have any cast speed at all. Prepping my nades, bullets, pierce booster, etc is just too painfully slow.

And making money is starting to feel absolutely horrible now. My thread on DFOSource isn't selling and I've had many purples and greens for way too long. I'm starting to dislike dungeoning as well since my two revolvers that I can even use are elementally based. Forging this Rude Boy Jack is going to take at least 1 mill, not counting trying to upgrade it to +10. It might even turn out with a worse stat than my Indomitable Midel Matig, which I would hate for that to happen since I want an all-purpose revolver instead of relying on a few that are elementally based. Not to mention that I don't have enough clear cube fragments to make the 25 full ones I need to forge this. And I still need many, many more Seals of Emperor Helm. Worse yet, after buying my two MP recovery advanced avatars so that I can dungeon better, I went down from 22 mill to 500k. And I've browsed through the market almost daily, yet I've seen no physical skin avatars for gunners at all. Bleh. /rant :l

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Spaz - 2010-03-08

lol wtp. I played this Glad 4 ranger that HAD to be trolling me. He was all "wow you're so pro" when I'm quite an average player. When he asked about crossmore, I said it was a spitfire skill and he said, and I quote, "whats spitfire mean? like a dragon?". He tossed grenades like a pro, but never followed up with a bbq or anything, just a shot or two from a hand cannon. It's one of the strangest experiences I've had on DFO. I left because it was just getting weird.

Strange glitch I had while I did Second Spine earlier today. No one was lagging.

Ignore the voices. I forgot I had Skype volume up.

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Kevin - 2010-03-08

I've had lots of weird things happen to me in 2nd spine. Like tentacles grabbing you out of nowhere 5 rooms before the boss.

Is the game down? Can't seem to load neither the game nor the site.
Nevermind, just as I posted it I was able to get on. Bizzare.

GAWWWR My controller died... playing my striker with controller was awesome! now I need to learn how to play with the keyboard [which so far lead to death] until I find a new controller ;_;

... I'm officially a noob =/
after going in the vestibule of darkness a few times in masters (need it for a quest), and dieing without using tokens, I decided my keyboard playing was enough to clear it so went in decided to use the 3 tokens and like 5 potions I had if I needed to,two rooms before boss, I die once, use token, next room I started getting confused about the keys and I would jump everytime I wanted to use a skill, landing in the axe attack, needless to say, I died, then I thought to myself "come on, keyboard can't be hard, only one room and the easy boss", still a little confused with the keys, I clear the room and enter boss room, Kill a few goblins, go to boss place, he awakes and so do the 4 statues, after punching them a bit I jump and 3 of the guards attack me, leaving me almost dead, when they finally kill me, I use my last token "HA I'll get it" as I stand up I realize the "weapon damaged" sign below the map on top right, oh crap! I do XXXX and then muse's uppercut, and there it is, my damage is lame cause my weapon's durability ran out, from all the wasting it without tokens, I didn't meet delilah, and didn't fix my weapon... so basically I failed, and didn't notice the weapon damaged sign that must've been there before I even used the first token ¬¬.

YES! Level 27 and it feels good mang. Can't wait to get me some Brick Buster and Mount up in here. 29 tomorrow should be easy with the Behemoth quests.

The plan is working successfully.

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - mrcowcow - 2010-03-08

Darkmaniak, a good habit to get into is repairing it after every dungeon. If you don't get the chance to, but you're outside of the dungeon, just go to a weapon smith and repair it. Unless you're doing multiple retry runs and your party isn't giving you a chance to repair at Delilah, you shouldn't have problems with running out of durability. I've never run out of durability with that habit, except when I first started the game.

I can't stand Behemoth. So long and so damn annoying. I'm so glad I hit 37 today and can move onto more dungeons now.

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - mrcowcow - 2010-03-08

Whoah. Behemoth was probably the area I enjoyed the most overall.

Original General Dungeon Fighter Thread - Shippo the Fox - 2010-03-08

Whelp. Tried to solo "The Ridge" Normal as my first Mount Thunderime dungeon ever. Had the tiger all the way down to like less than 1/4 of its last HP bar before I died.

I died a little on the inside.
