Joking aside, Disney is becoming the Nexon of the family media. However, Disney needs to calm the frig down. They honestly have no competition, and I have no freaking idea what kind of coke they are sniffing. This is gonna flub up like how Nexon tried to buy out Valve. It just won't click.

Hey, milestone post is milestone. I'm not gonna perfectly waste a milestone on a hindsight post.

Still though, Disney is going way too far in their hostile takeover.

From what I understand from recent stockholders reports, Disney is wholly concerned with the fact that there are so many up-and-coming companies on the rise in terms of mass media. Dreamworks has moved on from being the laughingstock of the animation world, and Disney XD has seen competition from Nicktoons Network, Cartoon Network, and the Hub.

This is a change. Disney had an absolute monopoly on family programming in the 2000's. Between Disney Channel with it's tween idols and child-friendly programming, and their more "mature" content on the ABC networks, they were more or less unopposed. Then their programming went to pomegranate, NBC and Time Warner stepped up their game, and Cartoon Network started airing halfway decent shows again.

Disney also had a massive drought in the quality of their animated movies. Chicken Little, Emperor's New Groove, Lilo and Stitch, Bolt, Meet the Robinsons, etc. were not as well received (in general). They got complacent, and meanwhile, everyone else got better too. Sure they had Pixar, but anything with that logo on it is at least partially good.

I imagine Disney is trying to get a hand on every market right now. They already have ABC as competition to NBC and any other major news networks, the have Disney Channel, I'd guess they're just trying to cover their bases, which is probably why the acquired Marvel (Time Warner owns DC), and LucasFilm.

I kind of suspect the Hasbro buyout to be (br)idle gossip, but we'll see. Honestly, it'd make more sense to purchase Mattel, what with Barbie and all, but I'm not sure they can afford that at this point.

Well put. In my opinion...since I honestly was so vague it's not even funny.

-Dreamworks hasn't had a good movie since roughly Shrek 4...And I'd like to see where Rise of the Guardians get them.
-Nicktoons honestly is staying carbon neutral in this fight. Either way, the channel itself hasn't really seen any significant changes.
-The Hub is the only big competor, because of how widely-ranged their programming has, that Disney lacks.
-Wreck-It-Ralph actually did good this past weekend.
-Cartoon Network actually is bring back their old shows, regardless of it's 20th aniv. So yes, CN has stepped up their game.
-Disney, however, is scraping out of the barrel. A Dog with a Blog? dafaq. It could learn from it's XD counterpart...however, true fact:They canceled their best shows.
-Lilo and Stitch was good. Except 2 was not. It just didn't have what the first did.
-There's no outright monopoly going on anymore.
-If Disney gets hasbro, they get Magic:The Gathering.

I only started up Magic about last year or so.

So for you, when did you started, when did you stopped, and what sort of deck did you run?

Well, there's more rumors than news. Time to do post them.
-S3EP10 is believed to be based off one of Les Miserables' subplots. Of course they can't do a episode where ponies die.
-Trixie's first-reappearance will be in a episode currently named as "Magic Gathering" (How ironic. I'm not even making this up. Seriously. Ironic.)
-The internet will crash on November 10th at 8am HST.

Oh yea, well, for me, KYM crashed.

SO. MANY. SPOILERS. TODAY.
-The Eight Min. preview has been added upon by two more minutes. (Meaning it's a 10min Preview. It's also in HD now.)
-Wired has a exclusive clip that looks like some s'hit out of a deleted Star Wars scene.
-Sombra talks in a 10 second clip. (Video was later removed. Either way, quality sucked.)
-Artwork for future episodes has surfaced. Mostly from the episode revolving around RD in the Wonderbolt Academy.
-More Trixie artwork. Yea, I don't give a damn about those.

So when you guys suggested we have a chatroom on Season 3 day, seriously, I wouldn't mind hosting one via Steam.
I was talking it over with Sane a few days ago anyways. Thanks for the feedback btw. If you guys want in on this (blah blah blah.) then if I don't have your Steam accounts yet, FRIEND ME.
Other than that...we're coming up on the <24 hours left mark. So here we go. We've been waiting all summer and fall.
