I was only trying to get at least 10 attack, so I'm happy. They're completely tradeable, so I have no complaints whatsoever.

Nice. Big Grin Ours ended up with 17 att; I still remember bf raging about how the last scroll gave 0 att (and we didn't know that you had to use a return scroll BEFORE using the chaos, so no fixing that).

Sometimes I think about how much the ring is worth in dollars, and how it has no resale value whatsoever now that I equipped it. SOMETIMES I LOSE SLEEP.

It dropped with 2 or 3 atk from additional options, don't remember exactly, and I just remembered I had a few chaos, so I used em.

2/3 -> 5 -> 8 -> 11

7 slots left.

I thought it was pretty neat.

You can chaos additional options even if it wasn't on the equip to begin with?

Are %all and boss damage affected by this?

Additional options are really just a change in the normal fluctuation of item stats, allowing for stats that don't normally exist on the item to appear too, hence "additional options", not a system name, but a description of the change they made to stat fluctuations, so there's no difference between those stats and any other "above average" stats.

And, dunno, haven't tested, doubt it though.

So by this logic, should you not chaos anything until there are good additional options on it? Seems like a huge waste to perfect an item (such as 140 gear) while not potentially getting a great bonus from the add options.

Well that would depend on how additional options worked. If it worked on boss damage and % stat I'd agree but if it's only on things like stat and atk it makes no difference. If additional options added attack to empress gear it wouldn't change how a chaos worked. It's not like a chaos scroll would add more if it had more atk previously.

Assuming you're even going to go for %all and boss on things to begin with. The 140+ flames are real expensive apparently so i'll likely just settle with having flame on everything rather than spamming for great options.

Well... with Empress items, and the new 150 items, unless you're Xenon, or Shad or DB, they pretty much come with all the stats you need already, no? You already have main stat, second stat, and attack on them, so it'd be pretty safe to scroll them. And as far as everything else, well I don't think it's really worth it to chaos them since they're not exactly endgame equips, besides I've only seen attack show up on gloves and overalls. I wouldn't wait for things like Empress though, I really doubt the additional options you could possibly get will change the results of your chaos scrolls.

I'm sure % all, damage, and boss damage aren't affected by chaos, much like the % HP we have on some items already.
