Not too sure. One theory floated on Animetake is that they truly are dead. The two main pieces of evidence to this is that they went way way deep in the lake, and Sora ripped her bunny doll up before running away, yet has it when they are on the train. It could very well be that they are dead, and the text message is "from beyond the grave". If they were to end up alive, Im more than sure they wouldnt be on a train together, as their aunt and uncle were going to take 1 of them each, yet they were alone in the end on the train.

Id still rather it be a definite yes their dead, or no their alive, It would make the bumpy road that is this anime end in some closure.


Fun fact! This is the only episode that you can really see their parents, which when you think about it, kind of leads to them being dead as well...

They were together because they agreed to go somewhere where they could do so in peace. I don't think Haru would take up the deal just because it meant splitting to 2 of them apart.

One of the theories says that Akira found them dead, and the rich girl forged the email in order to not let Kozue think it was her fault.

Sn1perJohnE Wrote:King of Thorns - Im sort of breathless after watching this. It was an amazingly beautifully done movie, even with the parts that used CG animation, it look just beautiful. The story can be hard to follow at times though (im pushing this as some things lost while reading the subs) but its is also an amazingly beautiful story. I really really hope they end up dubbing this, a dub that will fit for it, and bringing it over.

Maybe I missed it, but was there any resolution to the Medusa virus itself? Certain people are just gonna have to get all Imaginationland on it, spawn some alternatives and they'll be fine? Or we're all just figments of somebody's dream and they're just gonna leave it at that? *shrug* I feel like the twist of her being an alternative should have led to further conclusions. What I'm leaving with is that the twist is the ending, and the whole driving force for the Capsule project is irrelevant at the end but at least we solved some sister angst problems, despite being narrowly denied a wincest moment.

[Praise]Definitely qualifies as an original idea (despite some awfully unoriginal characters) and was certainly watchable all the way through. That right mix of confusing, but not so confusing I'm completely in the dark. The CG felt at home, especially with the videogame monsters. They felt like some high-end PS2 graphics come to life. Certainly a solid psychological/scifi/action romp with a solid set of twists and turns which suffers from an ending lacking in resolution for things I wanted resolved (I think). 6.5/10 Worth a watch it you have an hour and a half to kill, not gonna be keeping it on my hard drive.
